D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Acclaimed chef Tyler Akin is back with Bastia, his stylish Mediterranean restaurant inside Fishtown’s Anna & Bel hotel. Snag a seat at one of the green marble bar tops or at a cozy table by the fireplace to dig into seafood-forward dishes like sea urchin butter tartine paired with playful cocktails and riffs on classic aperitivi. Either way, the all-day cafe is made for lingering, just like his beloved and now-shuttered Res Ispa was.

Bastia is one of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia. The goal of the chef to express his love for Sicilian and Corsican food provides a deep dive into all that these Mediterranean islands have to offer. In a city of very good food Bastia is showing us greatness! Make sure you get the swordfish :)

The hotel and restaurant have a lovely ambiance. There is a separate bar and lounge and an outdoor patio where you can relax and have a drink before or after your meal. This is a restaurant in a boutique hotel and the atmosphere is just so peaceful and calming. The food was delicious.

Great cocktails, delicious food and very good service make Bastia the perfect place for a night out. The wine list was well curated with many choices to match with the variety of starters, pastas and mains. Easily one of the top Philadelphia restaurants.

Very nice although a bit pricey. The food we had was very good (Wagyu flank steak delicious) and portions were good for the price whereas alcohol was not as good for the price. I paid $21 for a cosmopolitan in a small glass and $30 for a glass of white wine (recommended by bartender and I didn’t know price). The restaurant is beautiful and we’re glad we tried it but we won’t be racing back.

One of the BEST experiences we’ve had in Philly. Recommend a bar seat! Staff is so great and food has so much depth. Can’t wait to go back.

Everything about Bastia is exceptional. The staff is professional and friendly. The food is inventive, creative and every course was delicious. Would give 6 stars if available!
