D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Acclaimed chef Tyler Akin is back with Bastia, his stylish Mediterranean restaurant inside Fishtown’s Anna & Bel hotel. Snag a seat at one of the green marble bar tops or at a cozy table by the fireplace to dig into seafood-forward dishes like sea urchin butter tartine paired with playful cocktails and riffs on classic aperitivi. Either way, the all-day cafe is made for lingering, just like his beloved and now-shuttered Res Ispa was.

Join us for our annual Friendsgiving on November 25th and 26th as we transport you to Sardinia and Corsica for a five-course menu. Start with cheese, charcuterie and snacks. Next enjoy a course of salads, including a sun-dried tomato panzanella and more. Continuing with a family-style lamb and pistachio lasagna, followed by grilled orata and Bonifacio-style roasted eggplant. Desserts for the table include pumpkin cake and burnt cardamom leaf panna cotta. The menu is $95 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity, with optional wine and non-alcoholic pairings available at an additional cost, along with our full cocktail menu. Vegetarian and pescatarian options are available upon request; please let us know of any dietary needs when booking.

Dining at Bastia was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We started with the salt-baked beets—an earthy, vibrant dish that was beautifully prepared. The daily special, a fluke crudo, was fresh and delicate, balancing flavors impeccably. We also had the Fragola with Pemaquid mussels, which was a standout, packed with depth and flavor, and the herb pork belly, which was tender and perfectly seasoned. Each dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and it’s easily one of the best meals I’ve had this year. The cocktails were expertly mixed, with layers of flavor in every sip, and the nonalcoholic options were impressive too. Can’t wait to return to see what other seasonal delights they come up with!

Great dinner! Food quality was exceptional-vivid flavors and textures. Drinks took awhile to get to the table and definitely not hushed high dining-shouting over the music was a must for any conversation. Overall though a wonderful experience. Beautiful, beautiful space!

We arrived early and had an exquisite cocktail in the rear bar with a separate menu. Upon being seated for dinner, our service was perfect from beginning to end. Hayden our server was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The only regret was being too full to try a dessert and the Amaro flight….. next time!

I'm from out of town and read about the new restaurant. Very impressed! One of the starters was overdone and not up to standard, and they offered to take it off the bill. I declined because I already ate it. They brought us another delicious Skate Fish appetizer that was wonderful. I loved that the portions were very large. The Management couldn't do enough to make our experience extraordinary. They also brought us 2 deserts at the end of the meal. Their fish is unique and tasty and their meat dishes are very unique. The back cocktail lounge and outdoor seating reminded me of L.A. I really enjoyed the evening.

This place was LOUD. The background music was loud and the patrons were loud. They think super highly of themselves and everything on the menu requires explanation. Food was okay but nothing to write home about.

Service was attentive and helpful without being overbearing. Menu was varied and the four things we tired were all very good! My only suggestion for improvement would be to introduce a couple of additional wines to the menu. The cheapest bottle is $72 so when you add tax and gratuity to it, it is close to $100/bottle. That is a LOT.
