Basil in Medfield, MA is a popular neighborhood restaurant that offers quality American fare along with some Italian style dishes. Each season, the owner and chef, Tom McGue, works to change the menu to provide guests with interesting and unique flavors. The eatery offers a comfortable atmosphere with three types of dining experiences available including fine dining, casual dining and private dining. Basil also offers takeout.

Basil also offers daily specials that reflect the market's best offerings, while supplementing their already expansive menu. From tried-and-true favorites like Chicken Parmesan and Veal Picatta to hearty favorites like Slow Roasted Duckling and Sirloin Au Poivre, Basil truly has the answer to any craving.

We love dining at Basils, especially for special occasions. The food is delicious and there is always a variety of entrees to choose from. Dessert is my favorite, so save room! I love crème brûlée and I always try a new tasty flavor. This time I tried Amaretto Crème Brûlée and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I love the ambiance at Basils, but it is a small place and it can get pretty noisy as the tables are pretty close together. They even offer Gluten free options if you need. I still would highly recommend trying Basils if you haven’t yet. It’s definitely worth it, just make sure to make a reservation ahead of time.

We arrived on time and were greeted with a big smile from the hostess, Linda. Our table was waiting and Theresa, our waitress, came over and brought water and took our drink order. We had some delicious Pinot Grigio (Fini) and started with clams casino, which were cooked perfectly. We then had salads which were crisp and fresh. We both got chicken picatta served piping hot. For dessert we had the crème brûlée. The restaurant had a nice crowd and the dinner was a perfect 10. My friend and I were catching up and never felt rushed. Theresa knew exactly when to check on us and always made sure we had what we needed. Basil has always been a favorite of ours and as we walked out we made plans for our next visit. People say this is a hidden gem in Medfield and they’re not wrong. Outstanding experience!

Wonderful food and attentive service. Very diverse menu - strong gluten free preparation optiions, especially with pasta. A new 'go to' for me.

Our waitress Peggy was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. The drinks were very good. We enjoyed ourselves. We can hear ourselves. Talk to each other. Wasn’t too loud love going there.
