Lorsque le premier Bascom est arrivé en Floride au début du siècle dernier pour aider Henry Flagler à construire le chemin de fer de Key West, il a apporté dans ses bagages son amour pour les côtelettes épaisses et les steaks saignants.     We were excited to enjoy an evening out to celebrate my finances birthday. We chose your restaurant as we have been several times before and really enjoyed it. One of our favorites Not so much this time. Our server was very good. The meal was not. To start no salt or pepper on the table had to ask for it. A runner brought the food out but did not give us steak knives so we had to wait to start until the server came back. And then went to get them for us. She seemed a bit embarrassed. Prime rib was like warm at best and tough. Really had little to no taste. Grouper came out cold as well. The lobster Mac was warm. The sizzling plate was not sizzling. Hardly any lobster. Best part of meal was the bread. We were shocked to say the least. Usually a manager comes by to check on everything but that didn’t happen either. Overall very very disappointing. Spent 150.00 and I don’t think it was worth even close. We chose you over Ruth Chris’s for this occasion and think we made a huge mistake. What happened we loved your restaurant. We didn’t say anything and just left, both of us were disappointed and it was a special occasion, we didn’t want to ruin our night out by complaining. Thank you.

    Their steaks are the best. We had a 10oz filet that was cooked to perfection and was so tender. Try the creamed spinach as an add on as well.

    Everything was excellent except where we were seated. We did not want to complain but no one wants to pay that much for your meal to have everyone walk close by and near your food. We in a very high traffic area with narrow pass thru. It was not a good seating experience but the food was awesome. We did not complain while we were there , but that seating needs to be moved. We were on a date and were looking for something more peaceful & private for the price we paid.

    I have lived in st. Pete my whole life and always wanted to try Bascom’s. Our waiter was annoyed with us the second he walked up to the table and continued to be rude the entire time. My brother got the special the waiter couldn’t even remember what the special was. Then we got the the pairing for two filet and lobster. The steak was ordered medium it came out over well done. They did replace it but it came out almost raw. The lobster was so over cooked it was charred and rubbery. They knew they messed up and all they offered was a free desert. I enjoy good food and I was so disappointed and felt that nobody there really cared. There are so many other amazing steak places around. I wish I would have spent my money elsewhere.

    This was our 1st time here. The atmosphere was nice. We were the first ones inside for the evening so it was quiet. The food was great.
