    Have been here twice and the food is fantastic. The setting needs help. It feels like you’re eating with everyone else. The seating is side by side. For party’s of 2 you have zero privacy. The views are great though and service is good.

    The ambience and service here are excellent. Gorgeous views. We had the price fixe menu for Valentine’s Day and everything was excellent!

    Kind employees, but need more training. Steak was an average piece of meat for a high price. Ambience and views are amazing, food presentation excellent.

    Total disappointment!! 7:30 reservation, finally seated at 7:55. Waited until 8:15 to be served a drink. Waiter was indifferent and amateurish. Salad served at 8:35. Entree served without utensils or serving spoons. Food was good but not great. Overall poor service, indifferent attitude. Over priced, over rated, poor trained servers, and poor management. For the price we expect more. Maybe you should hire a management company that knows how to run an upscale restaurant.

    Very disappointed. Trying to be a high-end restaurant and failing. I have no issue paying for an excellent meal, but any price for this food would be too much. 1. Food quality - average to sub-par - fries decimated/burned - steak quality poor - tuna tacos tasteless - mushrooms over salted (and I love salt) 2. Wine list is average with a limited selection. Note: bringing your own wine is allowed but prepare yourself for $50 Corkage 3. No handicapped parking - asked the valet where the handicapped parking was located and was told "I think it is across the way" - ADA violation? 4. Valet is $25 a car - even with a handicapped placard, 2 handicapped individuals and no access to handicapped parking - management should consider complimentary parking for handicapped if they do not provide parking 6. Bright spot - food service was very good Summation: Basalt is attempting to present itself as an upscale Steakhouse, comparable to one in Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, New York, etc. Unfortunately, it falls (very) short.

    My wife and I were there alone and had an excellent experience. Since it was our first time at this restaurant weren't sure what to expect with regards to quality of food, but that was a concern quickly discarded. Everything was excellent. The soups were great, the steaks done as ordered, the vegetables and starches were perfect, and the evening ended as a great experience. However, the prices were very high. If there was any issue, it was the valet parking where they charged a very large amount to park and the attendants didn't get a share of that fee. There was a need to tip on top of the parking fee.
