The bar is equally dedicated to premium ingredients crafting cocktails in this elevated-yet-cozy environment. The Southeast farm community is the heart of Barterhouse, following our sister restaurant in Charleston SC. Our philosophy surrounds the idea that not all ingredients are created equal, and if we eat good, we’re doing good, too. Don't miss this "show stopper" in Tampa's most historic district.

This restaurant had been on my list of tries. When I heard they were doing Christmas in July, I said why not. It is a must try. The Christmas decoration's and Christmas inspired drinks were amazing. I would DEFINITELY go back again.

I was excited to try the Christmas in July pop up, but when we arrived for our reservation they seated us in the non-themed regular area of the restaurant and had no tables available in the themed area. We were still able to order the Christmas-themed cocktails but otherwise it was basically a regular restaurant experience. Very disappointing to find out that entire restaurant was not decorated for the theme and that there was no indication of this when making a reservation so I would have known to include that we were specifically making the reservation to experience the pop up theme. While I was disappointed about the pop up issue, the restaurant had some other issues such as smelling of sewage around the hostess stand area, which was very off putting. I am not inclined to go back, but will give two stars because the food and drinks we had were all very good, although quite expensive.

Food was great, drinks were great, and staff was very friendly. The restaurant smells like reclaimed water and is very pungent, hard to get over.

The food itself was very good. The drinks were very hit or miss. We each tried one of the "Christmas in July" cocktails, but didn't not find them to be good overall. The drinks off of their regular cocktail menu, however were enjoyable. There was a horrible smell upon walking in the door. I'm not sure if they were experiencing an sewage issue of what was going on. In time, you do kind of adjust to it though. Service from the host and the waitress was both great. Both quite friendly and welcoming.

We went here for the first time yesterday to celebrate my husbands birthday. From the get go, great tentative service, delicious food and the atmosphere was perfect! Good vibes and music. Everything I ate I said “I could eat for the rest of my life.” lol, definitely want to go again ASAP

We were not sure what to expect with a pop up Christmas, but we were delighted with this restaurant. Eat on the left for a casual experience, or on the right for a more elegant setting. The Christmas in July theme was fun and we even felt a little cooler in this Florida Summer heat. Although the menu online seemed to be limited in choices, the actual menu had plenty to choose from. I started with the Foie Gras Crème Brûlée. Yes, I said Foie Gras. It was spectacular. Silky, smooth and flavorful, I would go back for that dish alone. That was followed by a pappardelle dish that was one of the pasta dishes I have had since visiting Italy. When they shaved the black truffles over the top, I knew it was going to be something special. I am going back for those two dishes alone. My dining companions had the filet with a sauce that they raved about and a smash burger that looked moist and amazing. We finished the meal off with the S’mores dessert, which I did not try given that I am not partial to marshmallows. However, my dining companions raved. I chose the sweet potato cheesecake with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. I had no idea what to expect, but they used purple sweet potatoes and it was truly amazing. As for service…top notch. Peaches took care of us and he was taking care of the whole side of the room. With the attention everyone received, you would never have known it as the owner was also readily available to take care of all the tables. He visited us several times and was they to wish us well as we paid the bill and left the restaurant. The Barterhouse now holds a prominent place on our culinary lineup, and I can not wait to go back and have a second round of that pasta and Foie Gras appetizer. WELL DONE!!
