Barrows House Restaurant is an American gastropub with a modern twist on traditional New England tavern fare that pairs great food with craft beers. Our menus and beverages showcase Vermont’s abundance of local products and celebrate its farms and producers. These quality ingredients are simply prepared demonstrating classic culinary techniques offering guests uncomplicated seasonal tastes of Vermont. Set against the historic backdrop of a circa 1803 building, the ambiance is at once warm and welcoming, sophisticated yet casual featuring Dorset white marble accents and historic black & white photos from the local Norcross-West Marble Quarry, one of the oldest in the country. Paired with our large outdoor terrace and colorful gardens, Barrows House Restaurant is the ideal setting for outdoor dining and all types of special events.

Found this gem when trying to find a cute place for dinner just outside of Manchester. Barrows House was exactly what we were looking for and the food was amazing. We shared 4 smaller plates with drinks and dessert and everything was great. Sitting outside with the autumn weather and fire pits nearby was the perfect ambiance. Glad we found this restaurant and would recommend to anyone in the area, visiting like we were or even a local who has not tried it yet.

This was our first time dining here and we had a great time..we definitely will be back and would love to try dining in the bar.. you have a wonderful restaurant and delicious food

Scott the bar manager is amazing. My lobster risotto was loaded with lobster. The food is always good and we love the atmosphere.

Unfortunately, food was not as expected. The proteins were not seasoned well and came to the table quite bland. Steak was overcooked and the chicken on salad was dry and lacked flavor. The service was great and always love the atmosphere. We're hoping this was just an off night; we love all the restaurants in the proprietors' (group's) repertoire.

I really enjoyed my Divers Scallops with risotto. I had the field greens salad first, but was so full that I didn't have room for dessert. Suggest that you have a half serving of salads, to allow for the option of dessert!

Took 1/2 hour to get the first drink. Absolutely the worst Old Fashioned I have ever had. Bartender literally filled the glass with SPARKLING water. I should have sent it back. Dinner was excellent.
