Established in 2011, Barrio Queen combines authentic service with traditional Mexican flavors to create an immersive and satisfying dining experience. This spot was named one of the "Best New Restaurants in America" by Esquire and features a unique take on tacos, burritos, tortas and other regional favorites. In addition to popular lunch and dinner items, there are numerous breakfast creations available any time of day. Barrio Queen also has a special menu with healthier dishes such as grilled fish tacos, chile relleno with vegetables and its exclusive Skinny Chola margarita.Barrio Queen features a bustling indoor dining area, as well as an outdoor patio outfitted with torch heaters for cooler evenings. The interior space is bright and has colorful artwork with an eye-catching Day of the Dead theme. Barrio Queen's constantly updated tequila list includes over 400 different choices, the widest selection in the state.

Very slow service and they were not very busy on 2/14. Waited about 30 minutes for our waiter to check in with us and take our drink order. Would take forever to come back and check in with us. Would have ordered more drinks but they were taking too long to come and check in with us so we just got our check after our food came.

The seafood tacos are fabulous. Wait staff was very efficient and knowledgeable.

Everything was fine but we had to ask for silverware when we finally got served food and never got napkins.

Not always perfect but always good food and great drinks. My favorite Mexican in Scottsdale. Our server today was excellent, very attentive and also helpful on selections for my guest.
