We try to get to Barrio everytime we are in town and it has been a favorite of ours for a while. I’ve written reviews before about how delicious it is and sharing my appreciation for their rotating offerings especially their interesting vegan options. After our meal last night I feel compelled to write a fresh review because it was a slightly different more elevated experience that for a flavor profile exceeded our already high and always met expectations. Can’t wait to see how they keep pushing it! Highly recommend!

Excellent tapas style spot in Asbury Park, tucked away on Bangs Avenue near the heart of Cookman. Vibrant space, attentive waitstaff, delicious everything including MANY gluten free options on the menu, and a great selection of drinks from the bar.

The food was great as always, was just surprised there was no brunch menu, which they previously had on the weekends.

The value proposition is not acceptable. High prices and small portions especially 2 tacos for taco Tuesday. I would go more often if it was more affordable.

We sat outside which was lovely! our waitress was so knowledgeable and attentive. We never had to ask for a thing. We tasted a ton of dishes and every single dish was delicious. Fresh ingredients, wonderfully prepared and simply awesome. Definitely going back. Oh, and spicy Marcy marg was awesome!

We love Barrio but felt bad for our waitress on Saturday night. It seemed like she had too many tables too wait.

We’ve been there many times. They did not disappoint! It was a new menu which we appreciate. The Crema Agria was to die for! Everything was great.
