Honestly a bit disappointed by our experience. Food was definitely better than most Door County restaurants but the overall service and experience was subpar for a higher price point experience. We were celebrating a birthday and had made a reservation 5 weeks out. We were seated in the back corner directly next to the service door. Very obviously the worst table in the room. When asked if we (there were 2,of us) could possibly move to one of the several empty tables more centrally located in the dining room we were told they were reserved for parties of 4. Understandable,but still disappointed by our seating arrangements, we then watched as each of the empty 4 tops was filled with a party of 2. The biggest issues for us was the fruit fly infestation. Dozens upon dozens swarming our food and table while we ate. We spent the entire evening swatting them away from our faces and plates. On our way out we informed the manager of the problem. He was uninterested and dismissive, claiming being a few blocks from the water made it acceptable to have insects literally landing on our plates throughout our meal. I disagree, and as a local resident have never experienced such a thing. A disappointing evening overall and we most likely won’t return. Sad because quality dining is hard to find in DC.

We love Barringer’s!!! We come every year when we visit DC. The food, drinks and service is always excellent. This year, the fruit flies were terrible. We understand that you have an open concept bar area but it was to the point of unappetizing. Just wanted to pass that along. We will be back but wanted to make someone aware.

There was a group of three next to me that were continually complaining about oysters. The two guys behind the bar did a fantastic job managing the situation. When my food came, I typically always order my steaks medium well I even had cold spots and raw spots up my steak Stuff happens no complaints. It’s called and there’s always opportunities to make things better. I did not want to add insult to injury and give this group next to me the opportunity to complain more so I eat the steak and then just simply came home and reheated it no harm no foul.

Love this restaurant-always spot on and delicious. Just wished they had a few more dinner options with seafood. We had the Turbo, which was a special and it was delicious! Love the warm bread and compound butter. The Lobster Bisque was a tad too spicy for me but otherwise, it’s one of our favorite places in Door County. We ate there twice while on a mini vacation.

First time dining here and we were not disappointed. Everything was very tasty and service was excellent. Highly recommend this place!

The general environment was OK, but pretty noisy. The service was great. But we felt that the value proposition wasn't there - prices were somewhat too high for the quality of the food.

Took my wife for her first experience for our seven year anniversary! My wife had the crabcakes, and lobster bisque, I had a ribeye, steak, Caesar salad, fries, and mac & cheese! Every single bit of it was five star quality! The mac & cheese was so cheesy and yummy, the steak had been one of the best steaks I have ever had in my life, everything else was also five star! Our server was absolutely awesome, very attentive, and checked on us frequently! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone, especially for special occasion.

Great food and service. I love the atmosphere. Barrengers is one of my favorite places to eat in Door County. I also love sitting outside on the patio or at the outdoor bar.
