The reservation and evening started off poorly. It was our Anniversary and we hoped for something reasonably special. Did not happen. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told to wait in bar area and have a drink. We waited until our resv time and then approached host/hostess area. Table was still "getting set up." Finally seated 15 mins late. The rest of the dining experience was about the same, disappointing. Took 20 mins to get a cocktail. We did finally receive that and ordered dinner. Our entire selection of a Filet Mingon ($52) and very basic chicken for $36 were no better than average-marginal. Most restaurants considered high quality might bring a dessert to share as part of the Anniversary celebration. Even a small dish of ice cream would have been nice and cost them a couple of bucks. Nothing like that at Barringers. My view, is it is a bunch of kids running a fine dining operation, with no real owner involvement to oversee and train, or to certain greet customers in any way, on-premise. Our dinner for 2 was close to $200 and not even worth half of that. Had it been great, would have zero problem with paying that or more. Needless to say, would never return.

Food was excellent (8 oz. Filet and Salmon). The loft seating was quite cold in room temperature, which was uncomfortable. Drinks and service good.

Our server was wonderful. The food, delicious. We had the Chilean Salmon. Highly recommend.

Attentive bar tender and waitress. Dinner service well paced and each of our meals were fabulous! Always a consistent experience.

We really enjoyed our evening and food experience at Barringer’s! We sat in the bar with a view of the harbor, which was so delightful. Whenever we’re in Fish Creek Barringer’s is a must!

Excellent Food and Friendly Professional Staff! Hostess was friendly and professional. Ambiance was great for pleasant dining although most customers were dressed like they were going to work in their backyard. Our steaks and sides were very good and our server was great.

Honestly a bit disappointed by our experience. Food was definitely better than most Door County restaurants but the overall service and experience was subpar for a higher price point experience. We were celebrating a birthday and had made a reservation 5 weeks out. We were seated in the back corner directly next to the service door. Very obviously the worst table in the room. When asked if we (there were 2,of us) could possibly move to one of the several empty tables more centrally located in the dining room we were told they were reserved for parties of 4. Understandable,but still disappointed by our seating arrangements, we then watched as each of the empty 4 tops was filled with a party of 2. The biggest issues for us was the fruit fly infestation. Dozens upon dozens swarming our food and table while we ate. We spent the entire evening swatting them away from our faces and plates. On our way out we informed the manager of the problem. He was uninterested and dismissive, claiming being a few blocks from the water made it acceptable to have insects literally landing on our plates throughout our meal. I disagree, and as a local resident have never experienced such a thing. A disappointing evening overall and we most likely won’t return. Sad because quality dining is hard to find in DC.
