Excellent midtown Italian restaurant. We were a Table of 7 - service was top notch. gave food 4 stars only because we did not sample any specials, and the kids mostly had simple pasta dishes. The bronzino was well prepared and tasty! We will be back to dive deeper into the menu

We ate at Barola on a Saturday night during the holiday season. It was great fun. We selected it because it was close to our hotel given the cold weather, and highly rated. We made a good choice. The food was good, the service was efficient and the ambience was lively. My spaghetti di mare was excellent. My husband‘s pasta with chicken was not as tasty. The Chianti was also very good. we loved the bread and our waiter was warm and friendly. I would definitely return.

My sister and i had a delicious lunch and a very pleasant experience at Barolo East. We arrived early for our reservation and we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service was attentive, but not pushy. The waiter arrived at the table promptly. There was a prix fixe menu that included a handmade ravioli and a beautiful Caprese salad. My sister is a vegetarian and it is rare to have vegetarian options on the prix fixe menus. The wine list is extensive with some nice wines by the glass. The restaurant has an old world charm with original brick and wood floors. It feels like a trattoria in Italy. The menu is priced well, average prices for fine dining and great quality food. I highly recommend this restaurant for an intimate gathering or a special occasion. Loved it!

This was a lovely find. Far enough away from Times Square to have more of a neighborhood vibe than being touristy. Warm, friendly service and excellent food. We sat in the enclosed deck and it was plenty warm in December. We will definitely be back!

Everything was great since the check in with the manager. A very kind and friendly person who made us feel very comfortable since we got in the place, food amazing and perfect service!!

The food was outstanding and the service was top notch. The wine list is very extensive with a particularly fine selection of Barolo as the name would imply. Also it was terrific value. We will definitely be back
