The Barley Mow Tandridge is managed by an ensemble of local people, passionate about excellent service and memorable experiences. Serving Hall & Woodhouse ales and a wide selection of wines and spirits Stuart and the team will be delighted to introduce you to our cosy country pub and beautiful family garden.

Our Head Chef, Jordan Gregory-Astle presents some great specials every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and his Sunday lunches have earned him some great reviews.

Please note: Because the Barley Mow is an old Country Inn sadly it is not accessible. There are no toilets that can accommodate a wheelchair, floors are uneven and some of the ceilings are low.

We arrived early on a lovely day and sat outside in the sunshine. The staff were attentive and the food quality and quantity was excellent. We will be back!

Third time we've been here and it is still a lovely place. The menu was a bit limited but there was no real faulting the food. Many of us had the pie which was one of the nicest ones I've had for a long time, bristling with delicious beef. My wife had the duck salad which had a generous serving of duck, however, she felt it needed a bit more vegetable to make it less 'samey'. The service was fine but nothing special - just a bit bland as if they're just doing their job and not really enjoying it. I'd definitely go back though.

A good sized car park, no problem parking. The first impression is good with the outside looking freshly painted. Inside was similarly fresh and clean. Food was good and served with a smile.

This is the second time we have eaten here, food really good, the service was good and very polite staff. What’s not to like! We will be back!

Good service but fairly average food. The veggie burger was tasteless and the meat on the roast was dry and overcooked

I was very disappointed the menu wasn't nearly as nice as the previous time. When we asked for wine we were asked what colour! A wine list was produced but lots were crossed out. Nearly all the desserts were chocolate which I can't eat. Before there was a nice cheeseboard. When I mentioned there was no cheese I was told oh no only cheesecake! When I booked was asked if it was a celebration - yes birthday. The young girl waitresses were all very pleasant but not very worldly.

Lovely surroundings, waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable and food was good. Starters were especially nice!
