    Good value lunch menu, food very nice. Service was 10 times better than on my last visit, the waitress was lovely and friendly, also very efficient. I will be going again.

    Visited on a quiet weekday evening. Very good restaurant in a local pub. Good value, food was tasty & very friendly service. Will certainly go again.

    Small village pub that welcomes dogs and muddy boots. Plenty of parking. Good pub food menu, good value for money.

    Had lunch at the Barley Mow. The food was good and very well priced (lunch and drink for £9 pp) however the service was poor. There were only 3 other tables (one which left soon after we arrived) so it was very quiet. We might as well of been invisible as the waitress did not acknowledge us majority of the time. Took 15 minutes before our order was taken, and then waited an hour for our food to arrive. Once we had finished our meals, the waitress didn't come over to see if we wanted desert and started to clean down the tables that had left. At this point I asked for the bill as wasn't prepared to wait another hour to place desert orders and wait for it to come out. The food was good for the price, but I won't be going back (even though I live in the village) based on the poor service received on a very quiet lunchtime!

    The staff were friendly and welcoming. WE had an elderly friend with us with a small appetite and we were able to order a Child portion for her which was great. The food is always of a good standard.
