    The Wild Turkey/Russell event was so very fun and a wonderful culinary adventure. The whiskey was a real treat, and the menu was off the hook. Only our second time to restaurant and we are SOLD. Service is lovely. I actually need to have a STEAK at this joint soon. 👍🏼

    Bardea Steak Review June 2024. Dinner for two. Arrived on time but no one was at the front door stand. A woman showed up in about five minutes. No explanation or apology. It was an inauspicious start. We were then sat at a table on what was basically and empty floor with one or two other booths occupied. (it was still early) Why we weren’t offered a booth was not clear but while we’d have preferred the booth, we didn’t ask and we sat at the table. Our server started out nicely with all the usual patter and specials, etc. but we had already decided what we were going to have. A round of drinks came and we place our orders for steaks and sides with no appetizer. Some time later our steaks came out nicely plated and sauced, served by what I assume is the “steak server.” But no sides. We sat for five long minutes before our regular server passed by and I flagged him down and asked about the sides. He said that “they will be out soon.” And he went to the back. In another minute the sides were finally brought out. Why couldn’t this have happened six or seven minutes before when the steaks came out? We sat staring at the steaks the whole time since having mushrooms (one of the sides) would go great at the same time with the steak. The sides (mushrooms and carrot) were excellent and burst with flavor. The sauce in the steak was good but the filet, although cooked perfectly, was no better than many filets we’ve had at other restaurants or even at home using some Costco filet. Walter’s, Constantinos or Harry’s regular steaks would have been a good match. For dessert, the Bananas Foster was a delight and full of flavor. The café americano, not so much. Why can’t we just get a plain cup of coffee? By this point the floor was pretty full of customers and the noise level had gone up considerably. The hard surfaces like the ‘tin’ ceiling didn’t help. The quietest seats seem to have been the high-top tables by the windows in the bar area. Glad we go there early.

    We did the Chefs Tasting with the Wine pairing and it was fabulous! Excellent creativity and flavors, service was impeccable and wine knowledge was superb.

    The menu offerings are scant, and somewhat obscure (Elk Meatballs). There was only one potato dish, a loaded baked potato. We had hoped for more of a selection. The Cacio Pepe croquettes were tasty, but not hot, the centers were cool. No bread products of any kind were offered. The steaks were well cooked. However, the sauce we had ordered was forgotten. The Chimchurri sauce was eventually served as a paste and ice cold. We had hoped to order bearnaise sauce, but the only one available was a mango bearnaise, which did not appeal to us at all. The Banana Foster dessert was delicious, but small.

    There's never anything wrong about either of DiMeo's places. I was just disappointed they didn't have the bread cube on the menu anymore.

    Very poor value for the price. Food was fair. Steak not prepared well. Overall disappointing for the price point. Plus $30 to valet park. Great ambience but poor experience.
