Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. In 2019, Bardea Food & Drink received a semifinalist nomination in the James Beard Foundation's "Best New Restaurant" category.

    This is far and away the best restaurant in Delaware. The food is always exceptional and the service is top notch. They seemed a little understaffed last night, so for the first time ever we found them less attentive than we expected. But that was still far better than most restaurants we have visited. Every single thing we have ever ordered was perfectly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and an incredible mix of unique flavors. I can't imagine going anywhere else for our special occassions in Delaware!

    Bardea Food and Drink was great. Wait staff was very attentive, explained everything. We had one person in our party with Celiacs Disease, and they were very careful with their food preparation and letting us know which one was Celiac friendly and not Celiac friendly. The cocktails were amazing as well.

    Went for our anniversary. The staff all wished us happy anniversary making us feel special. The menu had changed from the last time we were there with a mix of new and familiar items. Everything was delicious, the octopus was a little chewier than previous times but the flavor was great. The tiramisu eclair with affogato was amazing. Highly recommend if you're an adventurous eater celebrating a special occasion

    The food was really good. Service was quick and friendly, and the ambience was great. However, I thought for tapas-size portions, the prices were a little high. I have had many tapas experiences and never paid quite so much per small plate. Food was tasty though.

    As a transplant from Las Vegas, Bardea has quickly become our family favorite. Whenever we have family or friends visiting from out west, this is our go-to spot. It's no surprise that I chose Bardea as the place to propose to my partner. Thanks for the great service, delicious food, and above all, your unwavering consistency.

    We had a pleasant experience at Bardea Food & Drink. Overall recommended if you're in the area with a few caveats. Some of dishes punch under their weight, especially at the price point, but the broccoli, fusilli, and crabmeat bruschetta were excellent. Skip the chicken. Somewhat skeptical of the tapas concept in a restaurant with such disparate dishes (nearly no thematic or shared palate between them), but worth a shot. Very close seating, if that's a problem for you. Excellent service.

    Went here because it was near the Grand Theater. Great experience! Nice ambiance, great server, and wonderful food! Can’t wait to go back.
