Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. In 2019, Bardea Food & Drink received a semifinalist nomination in the James Beard Foundation's "Best New Restaurant" category.

    What a gem. Tristan did a fabulous job making sure everything from drinks to dessert was just right. The lamb macaroni was excellent especially when paired with the curry broccoli. And if I had missed the chocolate mousse I would have been very disappointed. Fun vibe and great service and food.

    Great food, especially the snacks, and small dishes, were my favorites. The main dish was not as complex and nicely presented as the small dishes and snacks.

    Food was fantastic. Lively environment and lots of energy. Service was spotty and we waited nearly 30 minutes for dessert. Would return

    Creative tasty small and medium plates. Very creative and broad palate of flavor, textures and mediums (fish, pasta, meats). Great vibe; highly recommended!

    The service was great. The food was very good . My only complaint is that when we arrived the host tried to seat us at the worst table in the house-just outside the service door (this happens every time we book on Open Table). He relented and seated us elsewhere.

    My experience at Bardea Food and Drink was very positive. It's important to note that this place is known for its Italian food and proudly serves tapas-style portions, with menu prices reflecting small, shareable portions. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive, although there was initially some confusion regarding menu allergies. However, the issue was quickly resolved. I recommend reserving a table through OpenTable, even on weekdays, as the restaurant tends to be busy. Despite this, the food arrives promptly. In terms of the food, there are hits and misses. Some dishes are incredibly tasty, while others are just okay. I particularly enjoyed the Barbacoa and Crab tacos. It's worth noting that the menu may be limited for those with allergies, such as eggs, dairy, or gluten. While there are many vegetable options, not all are vegan. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that Bardea is one of the best places to have dinner in northern Delaware.

    I went 9/24 with two friends. We had a great time. The food and drinks were wonderful. The staff were all great and our server Jake did a spectacular job. Overall the ambience was very good with the exception of the noise level. Even my Apple Watch said it was too loud.

    AMAZING food! Tables are a bit close together and our waitress wasn’t the friendliest but the food was outstanding.

    Have dined here several times, everything is always top shelf, can be a little noisy but not overwhelming. Staff is always attentive. Will be back again. Cant wait for the new restaurant across the street to open.
