Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. In 2019, Bardea Food & Drink received a semifinalist nomination in the James Beard Foundation's "Best New Restaurant" category.

We love everything about Bardea from the small plate selections to the great bourbon selection and cocktails. Additionally, we had great service from the staff and the waiter Jessie.

My husband and I made a reservation at Bardea to celebrate my birthday. We arrived at our reservation time but were not seated for almost 20 minutes. The hostess was very apologetic about the wait and frequently checked in with us. Once seated we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and anxiously awaited to be greeted by our server while reviewing the menu. After awhile we realized that we had been sitting for almost 20 minutes and still had not been greeted by our server. I notified another server that we had been waiting a very long time. Within a few minutes another server approached our table, apologized for the wait and said she was taking over our table. After that we experienced exceptional service by our new server. She was attentive and our food arrived at timely intervals. The shared plates were scrumptious and presented beautifully. We both had one of the specialty cocktails, which was the best drink I’ve had in awhile. Despite the rocky start, once our food arrived we were thoroughly pleased with the service and our meals. We will definitely be returning to Bardea.

Went for daughters birthday. Dinner was excellent and the sorbet was amazing !

Out of 8 small plates - appetizer to desert - ordered by my party of 2 last night, the food was a mixed experience. The best were amazing with glorious flavor pops. The worst were way over salted and lacking. But the outstanding service, cocktails, wine list, and ambiance kept this rating at 5 stars. We need to return to find the perfect set of food items. We are intrigued after our first visit.

We love the food and service. We typically eat at the bar where it is quieter. Last night we were 4 people so ate in the dining room. Totally unacceptable noise level. Very unpleasant experience as a result. They need to do something about the noise, remove some tables, foam on ceiling? Something.

We had an exceptional experience. Food, drink and atmosphere were all wonderful. Our server had the perfect balance of of being attentive and informative. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They take care in making the entire experience exceptional.

Food and service were absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Tables were a little packed in which made for a loud dining room, but overall everything was wonderful!

I can't believe we didn't know about this place these past few years. My husband and I went there for our anniversary. From the moment we sat down, the experience was amazing. Our waiter was excellent. I feel terrible, I can't recall his name now (he was young, a UD graduate). I know he was busy, but he didn't show it and spent a few minutes just talking with us. Everything he recommended was superb. The crab tacos were so delicious. And the olive oil cake topped off the meal! I can't wait to go back!!
