Inspired by the parrillas of his native Argentina and the hip enclaves of contemporary Buenos Aires, Chef Javier Bardauil brings the art of live-fire cooking to Detroit at BARDA — a modern steakhouse where ancestral traditions meet out-of-this-world innovation. The BARDA kitchen relies solely on a wood-burning grill and oven, ensuring that every dish is either flame-cooked, fire-kissed, or served raw, showcasing premium cuts of meat and high-quality seafood and vegetables prepared to highlight their natural flavors. Food was delicious! Nice, vibrant atmosphere. Appetizers, entree and dessert! The Burnt Alaska was excellent, nice chocolate but not too sweet and the flaming meringue was a nice experience. The Broken Pavlova is the best dessert we have had in quite a while. The citrus mouse was so bright & light w/ flavor while the strawberries, salmon roe and hibiscus were an amazing twist! So good!

Had the porterhouse steak with potatoes and grilled cauliflower and everything was delicious! Great Valentine’s Day! And great cocktails!

Small space, but loved the vibe with the red lights and open kitchen in the back of the restaurant. Perfect gesture of coat check at the door!!Charred Caesar was exclllent. The short rib was wonderful, tender, tasteful, cooked perfect. Bife was 3/5. Baked Alaska a must try!!! I will return.

The trout was beautifully cooked and well seasoned. The burrata was beautifully plated and had great flavors, the potatoes were deliciously spicy and flavorful. The biggest disappointment was that my $68 streak has unrendered, chewy fat. These are the qualities I look for in a higher end restaurant. That steak wasn’t worth half the cost.

Hostess was great and excited to have us! Drinks were great, food was mid and bartender/server was mid. The food was good but nothing out of this world. The server seemed very disinterested in providing help with food selection or answering questions in regards to portions. He was not as interested as keeping up with us as he was with the couple next to us. We too would’ve loved the same service

Quite honestly one of the Top 5 best steaks I have ever had. Everything about our experience at Barda was exceptional. When we first walked in we were greeted at the door by a friendly hosted who offered to coat check out jackets. We chose to sit at the bar for a more intimate experience with the bartender. Our bartender/waitress was extremely knowledgeable with the menu. She gave us amazing recommendations on drinks and helped us with our food choices. The Lomo Beef Tenderloin was cooked to perfection, the Charred Caesar was the best I've ever had, their side potatoes has the perfect level of spice & the Burrata was so light and refreshing. Everything was extremely enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

The steak tartar was delicious and with the bone marrow, top notch, one of my favorite things I've had in a long while. The black rice was rich and bright. Service was friendly and overall very comfortable seating at the bar.

Hello, I had a reservation for 745. I didnt get seated till 810 ish. And I had reservation for a table but had to compromise for a bar seat. This made me late to another reservation. Could I get a discount pleased
