I was very disappointed with my experience and will not be going back. We had a reservation for 8 on New Year’s Eve. Days later I got a call that they had to change my reservation to 7 because of a party. When we arrive, they rudely told us they will be closing at 8. Never over the phone or in my reservation confirmation did they mention this. Our waitress pressured us repeatedly to order quickly. She brought over our check as we were eating food and asked if we wanted any to go boxes. We were very disappointed with our experience. The time limit should have been clearly communicated. It was not a friendly and welcoming experience.

The drinks were quite good; we had palomas and margaritas. The food was just okay. Our server highly recommended the octopus, but it was a bit overcooked and not enough. There were more potatoes and salad, than octopus. We also ordered the shrimp - they were too sweet. Avoid the lamb meatballs - very strange flavor which we could not pinpoint. For our entrees, we had the jerk, (again, highly recommended by our server), chicken tinga, and braised brisket tacos. The chicken tinga tacos were good, but the servers recommendations of the other tacos were not great. For dessert, the churro bites were crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside which was a letdown. And our server did try to steer us away from ordering. They were nice enough to bring out the dulce de leche cinnamon roll (not on the menu) for us to try on the house. That was good! Overall, the was just okay which is a bummer since the ambiance is inviting and the space is quite large.

We arrived on time for our 8:30 reservation. When I approached the host stand one girl was on the phone and the other was texting and did not look up at me until she was done. When I gave her the reservation information she informed us that they over booked and that there was a private event. She said we would be seated in 15-20 mins. I brought friends there because I love the restaurant and it’s close to home. Not a great first impression unfortunately.

Showed up for our 7:30 reservation and the hostess said they couldn’t seat us for another 30 minutes! Not ok. What is the point of making a reservation if you’re going to make your party wait for 45 mins. Also the hostesses rolled their eyes at me when asking if we were ever going to be seated.

Great friendly service that made my birthday celebration feel special. Mescal margaritas are the best. Tuna poke tacos are delicious.

A overall disappointment. Went there for dinner to celebrate a 30th birthday, once we checked in for our reservation the hostess was only able to offer a couch with a fire pit outside or we would have to wait 30 minutes for a table to open up. I asked what was the reason for a reservation then and she said the reservation didn’t specify a table or indoor or outdoor so that was all she had. We had a show to see promptly after dinner so we ended up taking the outside option. It’s November, so about 50 degrees outside, the seat cushions were wet and flipped over to the dry side, it was difficult to eat dinner without a table, and one of the plates caught fire from being too close to the fire pit. Overall I was very disappointed that my dinner reservation was not accommodated for. On top of it all nothing was offered for the birthday celebration. I think this place is fine for drinks, the food is good (lots of shareable plates) but don’t expect a dining service.

We’ve been several times before & something was very off with the maragarita mix; it was either carbonated or a bad batch. When we asked the server about such & offered him to try it, he declined & said the mix is made in house in batches & hadnt heard of any issues. Needless to say 5 of the 6 of us were sick in the evening. We did order apps & some tacos, but don’t think it was the food. And no, we weren’t over-served of tequila (everyone had 2-3 over several hours time). $300 for drinks & light food to end with an evening of stomach distress is really disappointing.

The lunch special was such a nice surprise and the food was great. Our waitress hustled! She was taking care of the whole place and you’d never know we weren’t her only table. She was tremendous!
