Absinthe

The “Green Fairy” is traditionally served with water and a cube of sugar. The sugar cube is placed on an absinthe spoon, and the water is slowly dripped over the sugar into the glass until the sugar is dissolved and the desired dilution is obtained (approx. 1 part absinthe to 4 parts water). The sugar helps take the bitter edge away from the absinthe, and when mixed with water, the liquor turns a milky white (louche). Please enjoy our curated selection in the traditional manner or in a cocktail.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at BarChef. Despite being a bar, the food was nothing short of amazing, with dishes that surpassed our expectations in both flavor and presentation. The cocktails were a highlight, featuring inventive and delicious combinations that showcased the bartender’s creativity and skill. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, making it a perfect spot for a memorable night out. We highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for great food and exceptional drinks in a vibrant setting.

Very creative drinks, and the servers are very helpful in guiding a first time cocktail drinker. Ambiance is great.

Excellent drinks/experience. Service started strong, took some time for our server to come to take our order, but after that, everyone was very attentive. Atmosphere was amazing. Overall made for a memorable experience. Would go back for sure.

Nice people and atmosphere, although the service of the drinks is not synchronised. You may look at your friend drinking on his own for 20 minutes while you are still waiting for yours. The food is not really great either. Some cocktails come with food on the side (decomposed) but it’s not specified on the menu. Some drinks arre mixing so many kind of alcohol that you only feel the ethanol… I have not been really excited about this place

The pork belly skewers are big chunks of FAT, like fat, no meat. I felt really sick after biting it after for the whole night. Server was not looking at us instead looking around when she was explain the drink menu. I didn’t feel respect there. The restaurant/bar is way too dark, make sure your phone is fully charge for the flash light to look at the menu and food.

I had a regular old fashioned, so my drink was fine, but the other 3 cocktails we ordered were disgusting. One of them being their signature drink. Our friends from Calgary could not take more than 2 sips. We paid the bill and left. Will never go back.

Never disappoints. Cocktail and atmosphere are outstanding. Great place for a date. My wife and I will be back for sure. The Pina Colada on the modernist menu was out of this world! t's a must try!
