BARCA is Old Town Alexandria's newest riverfront neighborhood restaurant. Located in Robinson, BARCA (Spanish for boat) styles shipyard chic and Catalonian coastal influence into a waterfront Pier and Wine Bar. Food was tasty but not absolutely outstanding. The ambience was wonderful, right on the water, they thoughtfully had heaters out so we could sit outside in February. Service was excellent, cheerful and knowledgeable.

We didn’t dine there. We showed up and it was outdoor dining. Nowhere on our reservations did it say outdoor dining. It was in the 30s outside and though they had heaters it was cold. We didn’t want to eat our whole meal with our coats and gloves on. The hostess said slaw could they the indoor section across the street but it was first come,first serve. We had reservations for a reason so we wouldn’t have to do first come, first serve. I marked 1-star on everything because that was the only way to move to the comment section in this app. Experience was 1-star overall. Would have loved to provide better feedback on the rest but was unable to. No idea if we will go back.

Great NYE experience! Dj, atmosphere, fire works view, drinks and our server were great!!! Best decision ever.

We went on NY Eve and there was an issue with the weather, but our dishes took a long time to get to us, while all the tables got their food in a reasonable time. I understand that there were issues, but Then we were told our order kept being delivered to other tables.

We had dinner and drinks at Barca Pier on New Year's Eve. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was outstanding. The restaurant is on a pier over the river, with isinglass enclosing the restaurant on 3 sides. We experienced a heavy rain storm during dinner. The wait staff was outstanding. They needed to walk briefly in the rain from the kitchen or bar to tables. Our waitress remained attentive and cheerful throughout the storm.

Delicious food and cool location. Event though it rained, the staff was attentive and helpful considering the NYE storms. Part of the ARG, but offerers different menu options

Very nice experience and food. The mushroom toast and the tuna were exceptional. The prices are a little high, so I wouldn’t consider it to be a value for the money. We may go there again sometime in the future.

Along the river just a short walk from King St., this place is a gem. Food was fabulous. Ambiance was great. Artie was our server/bartender and he was fabulous. Putting this place on our list of stops when we return in the spring.
