Located in Robinson, BARCA (Spanish for boat) styles shipyard chic and Catalonian coastal influence into a waterfront Pier and Wine Bar. Definitely a place we eat each time we visit Alexandria. It’s a busy place, especially when the weather is nice, so make a reservation. You can select dining on the pier, which is great. Can be a little noisy with people talking and planes flying over, but the views are worth it. We had dinner with friends. Started with a tasty bottle of Albariño. Thoroughly enjoyed a dinner of tapas. The croquetas were delicious. They had a slightly different take on patatas bravas from what we’ve had in Spain, but totally delicious. Gambas al ajillo were really tasty and worth sopping any leftover juice with the nice fresh bread. Our friends loved the whipped goat cheese spread. Really, not a bad dish in the ten that we ordered over the course of dinner. Service was attentive and friendly, despite being busy. Enjoy!

As locals, we love taking our friends to explore our town, especially on a nice early fall evening. Barca has an amazing setting right on the river, where you can enjoy the gentle breezes, the sound of the water, the buzz of conversation, and the beautiful evening lights. However, while the ambiance is lovely, the food was quite basic. The tapas were overly salty, and the seafood was overpriced for the quality offered. The servers were great, though they were very busy. Overall, it didn't detract from our enjoyment, but I would realistically suggest going for a drink and enjoying the riverside setting rather than having dinner there. Consider eating elsewhere for a better meal.

The food and drinks were amazing. I recommended the passion fruit frojito drink. It can get loud very quickly.

Great atmosphere. Tapas style food, each dish was fantastic. Drinks were also very good. Exceptional experience. Price point is fairly high but it was quite good and atmosphere is unique enough it is mostly justified. Great food!!

Fantastic experience for my Wife’s birthday. Our server was thoughtful, knowledgeable with the menu and she even asked if we have dietary restrictions. We are Jewish, so for her to ask made us feel welcomed and seen. Fantastic place for a casual lunch with family or friends.
