Bar Siena expands to Chicago's North Shore suburbs with their most recent location at Old Orchard Mall. Located next to Nordstrom, the new restaurant includes an 8,500-square-foot interior as well as two expansive patios. Much like its West Loop sister spot, Bar Siena North Shore’s vibe is a combination of elements the quaint and charming trattorias in Siena, Italy, and the industrial aesthetic of Chicagoland. The restaurant, along with Top Chef Fabio Viviani, brings the flavor, flare and energy of the casual Italian-American dining experience to the Midwest.

Ate an early dinner! Place is gorgeous and wasn’t crowded around 4:30– ordered 2 apps and 2 entrees. Service was prompt and great!

First thing server said was that kitchen would be cLosing soon so get orders in quick which we did and then our food took 30-35 mins to arrive. Desserts came immediately after entrees. We had to choose between eating entree while hot or desserts while hot. Asked for our entrees to be boxed (we chose to eat desserts) and server gave us 3 boxes to do it ourselves. We stopped eating our desserts to box the large messy entrees ourselves. We had a birthday for our twin kids and server brought two sparkler candles; she had difficulty lighting the “candle” so she said “you only need one then.” Kids were disappointed. Food was good, service was not.

Last minute reservation brought us in to a nice dinner spot. Had some sharables the roasted meatballs, parmesan fries, and the arugula tomato pesto pizza. 10/10

The front enclosed area is beautiful. Our waiter left a lot to be desired. Our meal was wrong and then our bill was wrong.

My friend and I met there for lunch. It is a very small lunch menu. We shared a salad which for $14 I thought was very small and we shared a pizza which was good. I don’t think I would return. It’s very loud and there was no value in this lunch at all.

Visited on a weekday for lunch. Service was okay. Ordered the chopped salad. It was the size of a side salad -- inadequate as an entree. Plus, it was supposed to have had salami in it. Good luck for anyone finding even a single piece.

I went with a friend and had a pleasant experience, the host was very nice. We got seated at our table. I will say the grilled octopus was very salty. We both ordered a drink, but before we even were done with the drinks and there was probably just a couple tablespoons at the bottom he just took it and I just don’t like when someone takes the drink right from under you without saying are you finished?
