It was over-crowded, understaffed and noisy. But the food was good, and the service was friendly.

This was a disappointing visit on a busy night for the restaurant. On the bright side, the appetizers were really good. Potatoes skins, pizza and fried mozzarella were hot, fresh and tasty. Entrees, however, were not good at all. Typically, steaks are great there. But this time, NY strip was old and dry. They pre-sliced, which is a pet peeve of mine. It’s an 8oz steak, come on. But if it’s already not freshly prepared, as these clearly were not, you’re really shooting yourself in the foot to have pre-sliced. Salmon was very significantly overcooked. Now to the worst part — service. Our waiter seemed to be trying pretty hard, but he just was never around. Took us maybe 20 minutes to get our first drink, which came after appetizers. Really? Didn’t even bother trying to order a second one. Waited 30 minutes for the check. No one ever cleared our plates, not even between appetizers and entrees. Unacceptable.

Went there during Chicago Restaurant Week. We each tried different items that we could sample and share from the brunch menu. The pasta with vodka sauce was delicious as well as the grilled chicken sandwich and bambolinis. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaura and the staff was very pleasant and attentive.. We are considering the location for a family event.

Reservation made a week ahead. Table for two. Seated at a table closest to the kitchen which was not appreciated. Server was attentive and friendly. Wine choices were plentiful and good. Appetizers came out all at once but we probably should have requested them to come out one at a time. All were excellent. Burrata needed extra bread that was requested and brought out quickly. Main course of chicken diavolo was excellent. Halibut not so much. Was overcooked and dry. Waiter noticed it was not consumed, brought it to the manager who came and asked if I would like it replaced. Points for noticing it wasn’t eaten. I wasn’t going to say anything and chalk it up to a bad day in the kitchen. I wasn’t charged for this main course which was appreciated. Will be going back next week and will order something different as the rest of the meal was great. Not the greatest seat in the house (probably the worst with the constant movement around the table by staff) but overall an average experience.

Food was great. Would definitely good again. They sat us at back of the restaurant, which was ok, but the front part is so much nicer.

Went for brunch, the ambience was wonderful. However, as soon as we sat down three out of our four appetizer plates had dried food on them as well as a knife and one of our beverage cups. My daughter ordered the avocado toast, and the bread was completely soggy. My sister’s avocado toast had a poached egg that was the size of a pingpong ball. I don’t believe I’ll have brunch at this location again.

Our server was extremely unfriendly and repeatedly ignored us, making the experience feel unwelcoming. Additionally, there was a significant delay in getting our drinks initially, which set a negative tone for the visit.
