The neighbourhood Italian restaurant you’ve always dreamed of, Bar Prima will feature a luxurious atmosphere that evokes a sense of timelessness and nostalgia. The restaurant design will capture an old-school charm with dimly lit ambiance, creating an elevated and elegant atmosphere. From Italian disco inspired music to vintage design touches, Chefs Craig Harding and Julian D’Ippolito have curated a space that feels as though it’s been there forever.

Bar Prima can at times feel opulent with its banquets and table lamps but can also feel relaxed and romantic. We seek to share our passion for food, beverage and hospitality, creativity and design with our open-minded guests!

Food was good. However 15’ after ordering we were notified one of the dishes we ordered (chicken saltimboca) would take 60 minutes to prepare and we were suggested to order something different. It still took an hour to get our food. Thank goodness food was good. My grilled octopus was fantastic. Overall, not sure I would come back.

Bar Prima was a remarkable experience! I am visiting from out of town and my girlfriend and I wanted an elegant date spot with great food - Bar Prima did NOT disappoint. Kade behind the bar, took amazing care of us, romancing each menu item, and even gave us a complimentary treat! WOULD recommend.

Delicious seafood and pasta options. Fun servers and yummy drinks. We were stuffed and almost scrapped dessert.

We visited Bar Prima for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The decor and environment truly meets the vibe check! Sultry, dimly lit, brooding colours and inset gold foil ceiling make for a really lovely setting. The food was equally vibrant and flavourful. Our server was really sweet and personable though I will admit the only thing that prevented me from leaving a 5 star review across the board was that the service was slow. And they forgot one of the dishes we ordered (it did not show up on the bill). But by the time we realized they’d forgotten we honestly didn’t mention it because it was getting late so we chose to go to dessert instead of waiting for the missing course. Still overall a really nice experience that I would recommend!!!

Food was generally fantastic but unfortunately operational hiccups took away from the experience. We received our main course two hours after arriving, and the appetizer shortly before that. Clearly this restaurant is aiming for excellence, but it doesn’t have it down quite yet. Our servers were wonderful but the waiting undermined the experience.

Celebrated an anniversary here! It’s been a long time since we’ve been to a restaurant in Toronto that was 10/10!! Food/drinks/ambiance/service the way they coursed the meal was perfect had enough time to enjoy each dish, never felt rushed. The restaurant itself is stunning. Italian wine list had great options! Our server Alisha was sooo nice and knowledgeable we really enjoyed her service! My new favourite restaurant will definitely be back

Great service. Food was excellent. Sat at bar which was a little tight but overall was a very nice evening.
