Bar Notte, a vibrant culinary destination by the dynamic team behind Amano Trattoria and The Carbon Bar, is now open. I was in the Financial District / St. Lawrence neighbourhood looking for a spot to enjoy dinner with my partner when he finished work on a Friday evening. The OpenTable app indicated that the 6:15 pm timeslot available at BarNotte was the last timeslot available for the evening, urging me to book quickly. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty. Literally. And no one new joined us for the hour or so we were there enjoying our meal. This suited us just fine and made the experience intimate and quiet, but the manufactured urgency was definitely curious. We enjoyed their $25 Summer Eats 3 Course Menu prix fixe menu, which was tasty (especially the Truffle Shrooms pinsa!!) and great value, especially considering the cocktail I ordered was $14, with some currently listed at $18. You won't take home leftovers but you won't leave hungry (and we've left hungry after 3-course meals at other restaurants that cost $75 pp during Winter/Summerlicious in the past, so....).

The price point on Summerlicious was amazing. The food was really good and managed to get a cocktail in during happy hour.

We went for summerlicious and it was amazing! Food and drinks were yummy and good portions for the price

We made a reservation, but was told we would have to wait 20 min. as people on the patio were moved indoors because of rain, and there were no available tables. We were asked to wait at the bar of the adjacent restaurant (same owner) for 45 min. After some complaint, they agreed to serve us appetizers at the bar, and comp our drinks. It was a shame, the food was very good and a great deal for $25 Summerlicious 3 course prix-fixed menu.

I came to the restaurant because of the summerlicious deal, and I wasn't disappointed. Everything from appetizer to dessert was amazing! The ambiance is great, and the restaurant size makes it more cozy and personal. Very attentive service as well! This restaurant is a gem, and I'll come back for sure!
