My daughter and I came to the restaurant before the Nutcracker as we have done for several years. I was looking forward to my usual poke bowl, one of the best I’ve had. I was extremely disappointed when the server told me it would not be available for another 35 mins or so (approx 1245). Do not list items on your lunch menu that are not available until a certain time of day, or in the least make a note of this directly on the menu or website. It’s not McDonalds!! I ended up having to get an extremely underwhelming, over priced salad. What a huge disappointment.

Bar Mar was a great experience for us. Stunning visually. Fun drinks and top notch food. The staff made us including our 4 yr old granddaughter very comfortable.

Bar Mar is always so good to have dinner in the Loop. I think menu was narrowed down this time but every meal on the menu is still SO GREAT

Received multiple calls to try and get us to show up to dinner earlier despite saying I wanted to dine at the time I chose. As well, once arriving at the restaurant we were basically getting rushed out the door as fast as possible. Overall the food was good but hard to enjoy the experience when it feels like you’re being rushed out.

Very unhappy with the service since I was celebrating my birthday. The server only checked on us a few times, I had to ask if they do anything for celebration, and felt very dismissive while celebrating with my family. Food was good but I would prefer a more attentive server.

Booked this place for a celebration. Ambience was good, but the food was mediocre. Very limited menu. Had looked up menu online, but it was not the same, so don’t go by that. Menu had like 3 were salads and regular burger and stuff. We ordered a burger and grilled shrimp salad. $22 burger was ok. So overall poor value for the money. Was very disappointed

Every aspect is outstanding. Great food, service and ambiance. Menu was recently changed but they accommodated orders of favorites from previous menu.
