I had the (small) lobster roll with the soup of the day, potato leek. Both delicious. Friends had Cobb salad and ceviche. They were also happy. Service was quick. Our server was awesome, and we had a comfortable table adjacent to the outdoor dining area.

Went for lunch and two of us had bikini sandwiches which were excellent. I had the Cobb salad and that was tasty and very filling. We had the key lime pie for dessert which is the best we've ever had. Very light and the key lime flavor was delightful. Great service. The waiter was efficient and friendly. We'll be back.

This is the second restaurant in Chicago by the same chef we tried this week. Amazing decor, atmosphere, food and service. We went for the small dishes and tried 5 each. Each dish was uniquely exquisite, plated beyond perfection, and scrumptious. The service eel coordinated and our main server friendly, spent time to speak and added to our enjoyment. I would come in a heartbeat with more friends. Thank you for a very nice evening.

Incredible experience. Arrive early to our reservation and sat at the bar. As busy as the bar was on Saturday night, our bartender was attentive and we had a great cocktail and a wonderful Spanish wine recommended. At our table our server was wonderful in describing the menu options and offering favorite dishes. We had the Iberico ham sliced and presented to us~ delicious! All items ordered tasted fresh and were so creative and delicious. Would absolutely come again.

Great pre-opera spot. Creative small plate cuisine. Friendly service. Very aware of theater deadline, although the plates come out of the kitchen with irregular timing.

Bar Mar is a great restaurant and we always enjoy our experience when we go. The Neptune Pillows, Caviar Cones, Jose's Pulled Chicken, and the Lobster Roll are always a hit with anyone we go with.

We loved our dining experience at Bar Mar. The small plates are great for sharing and you get to sample even more of their amazing food in the process. We had the octopus, Neptunes Pillows, Ceviche Classico twice, mussels, lobster roll, and a few of their specialty cocktails. I had the Whiskey Smash and my lady had the Spicy Margarita. Our server was Brian and he was great. The GM, Gabe, came by to check in with us. He even comped us a Ceviche Classico! This is how you get repeat business! Fantastic service, outstanding food and great leadership. The valet service is a bonus as well. Reasonable rates and they kept my vehicle close by. We will certainly be back! Bravo.
