                    The tasting menu was nothing compared to the bazaar experience in Chicago. Food was average and served in large dishes while we had taken three tasting menu options. The server was rude and even shouted when we pointed out the tasting menu issue in service. Overall a poor experience and let down after the great Jose Andres restaurants experience we had in DC at Zaytinya and Bazaar.

                    Love this place, it was what I expected. My only slight issue is because it's so busy that we still had to wait 25 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation. If I'm going to be really picky, then a little more explanation on the portion sizes, not that it really mattered for my party, we just ordered more :) Great fun and great food.

                    We got a lovely seat near the window, facing the river. Our server, Adrian was awesome. He helped guide us through the tasting menu experience, which we chose. He acknowledged my birthday, and brought gratis bubbles to start off the meal! The food runners were informative and respectful, taking their time to not interrupt if we were speaking! The support staff was great, keeping our table clean and pre-bussing any dishes we had finished. The dessert was so good I could have had two! Our cocktails were also so summery and really helped brighten up our palette between courses! Would recommend bar mar for birthdays, and other special occasions! Thank you to everyone who helped make it a great time!

                    Absolutely delicious! What a unique experience! We had Jose's favorites. I especially loved the server's description/story of how Jose created the "Salt Air" margarita. The experience was so cool. The fresh, delicate, and flavorful courses we very exciting! I can't wait to try other locations owned by Chef Jose! He is one of a kind!

                    This was a work lunch and everything was fine but the service...the food was slow in coming and at times the plates being cleared.

                    Kelsey was fantastic and the hostess (I forget her name 😭) was so sweet to send out an appetizer for me since I let her know it was my first time dining alone, as I’m on a work trip. The food was incredible, and the pulpo a la gallega was possibly one of my favorite meals to date. I also got a virgin salt air margarita, which was definitely the best mocktail I’ve ever had. Finished off with the sticky toffee pudding, and I ask to be buried with it when the time comes LOL. Easy 100/10. I’ll be back every time I find myself in Chicago.

                    What an amazing restaurant! Dinner for one tonight and they sat me outside in Billy’s section. He was a fantastic server. Great smile, great energy, and personable. Enjoyed the salt air Margarita and started with the oysters. Then I got the snacks tapas option and it was amazing food all around.

                    This was my second time at Bar Mar. completely different experience. Service was super slow, like 20-30 minutes to order cocktails and first appetizers. Food was average, the octopus was not well cooked, being very hard and rubbery. The drinks were the highlight of the night, the floral cloud was actually pretty tasty. I don’t know if the quality dropped since last year or if it was a bad night, but definitely not worth the high ticket price.

                    Totally average. It's as if they're trying to mass produce high end finger food and it's not really working. It's a fancy menu that doesn't produce an equal end result. Not bad but not memorable either.
