The Hotel Fauchere features three dining venues. Our elegantly-appointed Delmonico Room with its vintage Hudson River School paintings, piano and light-filled sunroom, our Bar Louis, with cozy booths, a contemporary vibe and the famous gigantic photograph of Andy Warhol and John Lennon behind the bar and our heated front porch with awnings and wind break curtains . Please note venue preference, if you have one, and we will accommodate as we are able (not all venues are open at all times). The restaurant pays homage to our founder, Louis Fauchere, who began working as a master chef at Delmonico's in New York City in 1848. He opened the Fauchere in 1852 and it was run by his descendants for 124 years. We look forward to welcoming you.

Great food, great ambience. Incredibly slow service. We ate here two nights in a row. There was an event the first night and we put the slow service down to the kitchen being stretched but the service the next night was even slower! An hour and 10 minutes after sitting down, our meal arrived. According to friends in the area, this is a chronic issue and they won’t eat there any more. Neither will we.

as always, the food is great and Bob makes a mean vodka martini as as well as a cosmo.

Always a great experience at Bar Louis. The squid ink pasta with shrimp is outstanding. The escargot (get a dinner, rather than an app - well worth it) is DIVINE! Wow! The Salad Nicoise is exquisite. Deviled eggs, well done and great to share for one or two couples. Bob, the bartender/server is WONDERFUL! Thanks for a great experience!

We had an amazing last minute dinner at Bar Louis. What a great server too-I only wish I remember her name. Recommend! Deviled Eggs Escargot Goat cheese Duck entree Salmon entree

Our meal was very good. Had the burger and the moules frites special. Delicious with an ice cold martini and great service.

Somewhat disappointing experience considering the venue. The sushi pizza looked great but the rice was almost dessert sweet. The eggs Benedict came with the eggs as hard as rock, and the replacement eggs took at least another 15 mins. They were kind enough to take it off the check without us asking. The “smoked” salmon on the eggs Benedict was tiny amount and dry. The tuna in the ahi tuna Niçoise salad was definitely not ahi tuna but looked like ham. This place has such amazing atmosphere, the service was very good, it honestly has so much potential that can easily be achieved with a little effort in the kitchen.

Great meal. Attentive and knowledgeable service. We hade a wonderful time. Not as many options for vegetarian diners as we hoped , but available options for plant protein were well done.

Love the Bar Louis! Always happy to pop in for a martini, oysters, and a burger. We especially enjoyed the new charcuterie and cheese board on this visit. The chef’s house cured duck prosciutto is phenomenal.
