We made reservations based on other reviews and BarItalia did not disappoint. Brice was our waiter and he was attentive without smothering us. He helped pick a good wine for me and then during dinner for my husband. We shared the lasagna and the veal Marsala with a side of escarole and white beans. All was delicious. As written in other reviews the noise level was a little high but I thought it brought a good buzz to the venue. We sat in the bar area. Now that we saw the layout next time maybe would request one of the back smaller rooms or even the main dining room. When it gets a little cooler we will definitely request outdoor seating as we loved the misters and fans on the patio. Good experience overall and will be back.

Dominic was a great waiter. Knew the menu items well and helped us to make decisions. The food was interesting and tasty. Only suggestion would be to make the short rib meat on pasta bigger chunks as opposed to "stringy cuts". Couldn't get much beef flavor from them. More mushrooms would have helped as well. But still a decent dish.

Delicious cocktails, salads, entrees, and desserts. Service was great too! We’ll be back again.

BAR ITALIA is a great addition to Lakewood Ranch. The location is excellent and the venue has a very spacious size both inside and outside. Beautiful decor with a modern flair, a huge and vibrant Bar and very cozy tables for your dining experience. We have been going to BAR ITALIA since the first week it opened and we have seen great progress in customer service, and serving times. The GM Jason, has been very helpful and friendly, and is doing an amazing job with his staff from the Asst Managers to the Kitchen and Hostesses. The Head Server, Matt is truly resourceful, he makes it a point to correct any snags to satisfy the customers. We have a favorite server already, thanks Brie for your friendly and excellent service. The food portions are very good for their price points. The flavor and quality of all the dishes we have ordered really taste fresh and homemade. Bar is vibrant and the cocktails are Amazing! We have become regular diners at BAR ITALIA and highly recommend that you visit them, if you haven't already. You will be enjoy a great cuisine in a lovely setting. See you guys again soon! So good. Everything was delicious. Primis are delicious. The Frito Misto was perfectly prepared served with 2 outrageously good sauces. Even the bread which is extra is worth it. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the veal is some of the best we have had in Sarasota. Our server Thomas was helpful and on top of everything without hovering. Excellent service, delicious food and nice Choice of wines. What more could you want. Magnifico!!

We went to Bar Italia for the second time last night. The first time was for happy hour which was fantastic. Last night we went with another couple for dinner. Thursday is half-price bottle of wine night and it was a great deal. We shared the Bar Italia chopped salad and it was very good and large enough for three people. We took home the leftovers. Three of us had the veal marsala and it was the best we've ever had. Our server was terrific. Having said all that, I would never go back there for dinner as the noise level is horrible which makes conversation difficult. Even the server complained that she sometimes gets her orders wrong because she cannot always hears them correctly. She said the noise level is the number one complaint from customers.

Excellent food and service our server, James was efficient and knew the menu well . Prices were more than reasonable. Will definitely return on a regular base

Extremely loud and did not enjoy my food at all. Calamari was greasy and filled with crumbs. Entree was not enjoyable. Then was charged 2xs on my credit card while they were trying to fix a mistake. (Waitress was very sweet) Would not go back and would not recommend it Sorry
