Enjoy an intimate dining experience at Bar Isabel - a cozy restaurant nestled between Toronto's little Italy and little Portugal, where creative Spanish-inspired small plate dishes are served alongside cocktails and an extensive Iberian focused wine list. The restaurant's elegant interior boasts an intriguing blend of soft lighting, curved walls and a beautiful mosaic tile floor.
Managed under the guidance of Maitre d' and Partner Alessandro Pietropaolo, Bar Isabel's menu includes a diverse mix of pintxos, conservas, seafood and meat dishes. Diners rave about the grilled octopus, the bone marrow and the ceviche. For dessert, the Basque cake and sherry cream is a must-try. Bar Isabel is open 5-11pm Sunday through Friday, and 3-11pm Saturday. Accolades include listings in the Michelin Guide, Canada's top 100, and 2013 awarded the best new restaurant in Canada by Enroute Magazine.

Dix ans après sa création, le Bar Isabel reste une table recherchée grâce à son ambiance de taverne intime et à ses tapas de qualité.     The food was stellar. We had about 6 different tapas at the table, and each was was perfectly cooked with amazing flavour. Yea octopus. Even the bowls of bread was fresh, tasty and addicting. The service was very, very good too.

    Service was exceptional. Food was fantastic and well priced. I believe our server was Liv, apologies if that’s wrong but she is the one that could be a stand up. Engaged and has really good menu knowledge as well as banter. The food speaks for itself. Been here a few times now and it maintains a high quality and standard. Consistent and most importantly delicious

    We selected Bar Isabel to sample Spanish cuisine and we were amazed. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival, in keeping with our reservation. The Bar contacted me earlier that day to acknowledge a request I had made, indicating they would do their best to accommodate my request [for some extra time, if possible. Our server was knowledgeable and patient, explaining the menu items, with recommendations, all of which proved very helpful to us. Our food and drinks were promptly served and our wine was poured for us. The ambience and shared food experience precisely met our expectations. We found that experience absolutely delightful ! We reside in Sudbury, but we will return on our next trip to Toronto. Thanks to the management & staff of Bar Isabel !! We will recommend you highly to our friends & family!

    Excellent as always! My personal favorite dishes are the mushrooms and the sea bream ceviche, but you really can’t go wrong. Cocktails are delicious and fun, and a good wine selection. Highly recommend, especially for celebration dinner!

    Absolutely fabulous as per usual- I recommend the white asparagus and the mushroom cured egg yolk salad. The food and drinks here are always slay- a little pricey but gratuity is included and service is quick as well as charismatic. A true Toronto gem😊

    First time to Bar Isabel and it lived up to expectations. Food was fantastic and the mixture of ingredients and pairings made the food better then most high end places you'll experience in the city. Our server was also very helpful and they treated my mom to comp. Cava and dessert as she was celebrating her birthday which was a great touch. Our service was a bit slow on the night however it was a busy night. Ambience was intimate but regretfully had people with flashlights out at the table beside us because it was dim lit, which is not a knock on the restaurant and more on people being inconsiderate. Overall I would 100% recommend this to anyone and will definitely be back.

    Went here for our anniversary. Food was great however our server took almost an hour to take our orders. Also missed multiple drink orders we put through. She was apologetic however by that point the experience was already soured. Unfortunately due to the poor service we will not be returning

    10/10 experience. Spain is one of my favourite travel destinations and the vibe here reminds me of Barcelona <3
