Enjoy an intimate dining experience at Bar Isabel - a cozy restaurant nestled between Toronto's little Italy and little Portugal, where creative Spanish-inspired small plate dishes are served alongside cocktails and an extensive Iberian focused wine list. The restaurant's elegant interior boasts an intriguing blend of soft lighting, curved walls and a beautiful mosaic tile floor.
Managed under the guidance of Maitre d' and Partner Alessandro Pietropaolo, Bar Isabel's menu includes a diverse mix of pintxos, conservas, seafood and meat dishes. Diners rave about the grilled octopus, the bone marrow and the ceviche. For dessert, the Basque cake and sherry cream is a must-try. Bar Isabel is open 5-11pm Sunday through Friday, and 3-11pm Saturday. Accolades include listings in the Michelin Guide, Canada's top 100, and 2013 awarded the best new restaurant in Canada by Enroute Magazine. Bar Isabel accepts reservations for parties of up to 8 guests.

Dix ans après sa création, le Bar Isabel reste une table recherchée grâce à son ambiance de taverne intime et à ses tapas de qualité. We felt rushed for my husbands birthday celebration. Our reservation was for 6:45pm and by 8:40pm we were asked to leave because of people waiting for a table. The food was excellent but we felt rushed the entire night. How do you enjoy a birthday celebration in less than 2 hours.

Incredible food, ambiance was great (a little loud inside), service was a bit slower but was nice the way the food came out separately. Great feel for Spain!

The smallest amount of drink in a glass as it was filled with the largest cube of ice. We got about 3 sips out of our drinks. No exaggeration. Sea Beam ceviche &chips was missing the ceviche. Our waiter didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. He grabbed our plate with some food still in it without asking if we’re done. We had to ask him to put the plate back. Other waitresses helped us more than our own waiter. Bar Isabel is definitely on a serious decline. Save your time and money, much better places are out there
