I came with a friend for the tasting menu, and we chose the non-vegetarian option. The restaurant is attractively decorated, with many touches of modern glamor. It also became exceedingly loud, like shout-across-the-table loud, and this affected our experience. The food was attractive too, especially the delicious show-stopper that starts the meal, the variation on shrimp on toast, and the beautiful naan. A weak point for us was that despite these dishes being standouts, as was the plush chicken on skewers, the food was overwhelmingly on the rich side. The chefs are unstinting on the cream and butter, and the desserts are quite sweet and filling too. We would have enjoyed the meal more if there had been more variety to the tasting menu dishes -- e.g., more pickled elements than the lone slice of (tasty!) pickled radish, some fresh veg for crunch or small sides (not sure if raita or chutney could be part of their vision), and less reliance on a tomato and cream sauce base. The staff were lovely, yet exceedingly busy with the packed room, and our meal stretched well beyond 3 hours with many long gaps. I would recommend Bar Goa to you if you love rich creamy food and find a super-loud setting exciting.

Great place! All the food was excellent except the lobster. They asked about it and I mentioned it wasn't the best so they refunded me for it, an unexpected pleasant surprise considering we ate it! Getting the bill was very slow as there was a problem with their system, but they reimbursed for the inconvenience, which was another unexpected pleasant surprise. They were shooting some marketing material so we had to sit in thier inside room but it was still a cool vibe. I would recommend this location and I would go back!

We did the bougie tasting menu of 10 courses. It’s a lot of food! All savory, so a bit different than other tasting menus where you expect at least one dessert course. Dishes were presented well and flavours and surprising mash ups were a fun take. The beverage pairing was a bit of a bust. Some arrived after the course was finished. Little to no presentation on what the wine was or why it was chosen, would suggest just pick something you like vs taking the pairing. Service was attentive but had you reuse plates and utensils between courses. Not sure if I was supposed to have eaten more by hand? But it came on a shared plate for the table, so seemed odd that with so many sauces that the dishes weren’t cleared after each course. Overall- come for the food, it’s great! Just temper expectations on technical service, but the staff was very friendly.

The best dining experience of my life! I had the six course tasting menu. The food was outstanding. Each course was creative and divine. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I can't wait to return!
