Due to our tiny size...we set aside the allotted amount of time for each party size:
2-4 people: 2 hours
5+ people: 2.5 hours

Had a great first date here last night. It's an intimate spot that's cozy and small. Tons of mood lighting sets the vibes. I wonder what they do with the huge patio in the summer. We ordered a few dishes to share: Hamachi Scallops in crudo, yuzu kosho and lime Beef Rib in this sick semi-sweet sauce Spaghetti 🍝 with duck confit The scallops and beef dishes were amazing. Would order each of them again. The spaghetti dish was good but didn't love it as much. We also each got one drink. The bill was ~$120 with a tip. Felt fair as service was good and attentive.

Personally I think Bar Gigi is overrated. Small, dark with blaring music. Food is subpar, especially for the price. The staff are friendly and personable.

Another outstanding experience at Bar Gigi! The mussels and scallops are dreamy with just the right amount of acidity that makes the dishes pop. Love the prawn toast and the charred cabbage is over the top! Second time visiting and received the same impeccable service. Thank you!

When we arrived for our reservation at 5:15 pm we were welcomed and seated immediately as we were the first guests of the evening. Our server advised us that there was a reservation coming in after us at 7:15 pm and we acknowledged and said that should not be an issue. We loved the food, however, the hovering of the server which turned into more than one server was a little too much for our table. We were there to catch up and with the music turned up a little too much it was not easy to converse. Both of us found the restaurant to be dimly lit aka dark inside. With two drinks, 3 small plates and 1 large plate our tab was $130 including tip but both of us said we were still hungry.

Food was great, though the menu is limited. For the prices charged presentation needs to be better. Dessert served in a bowl??? Think about that, would you put that picture on your website? Two people, 3 drinks each, 4 shared plates and a dessert… $ 200 before tip. Good but pricey for what you get.

The food is the show here... surprised by how amazing the Sunchokes were, also Prawn toast ravioli sheet were awesome, spaghetti with duck also delicious, loved flavors of cabbage but a little too crunchy. Service was great too... only drawback is the place is small, like maybe 7 tables so certainly can't be loud, but not too bad. Definitely worth stalking them for a reso.

Being curious and adventurous, my husband and I stepped out of our comfort zone to try this new place that we’ve heard so much about. This was not a typical dining experience for us, so from our perspective, we were not particularly fans of the whole concept of tiny, expensive portions. The food was creative and flavourful. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was intimate. We ordered the cabbage skewers, grilled beef rib and the spaghetti. The cabbage was nice because there was one skewer for each of us to try. The beef rib was delicious but unfortunately there was only one rib so we had to take turns chewing on that. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly and was so flavourful but it would be even better if it was served with a bit of bread so we could soak up some of the delicious truffle chicken jus. Overall, we enjoyed the whole experience but I’m not sure we will return, only because we are a bit traditional and practical
