A picturesque, historic patio that features regional seafood, handmade sausages, artisanal cheeses and our signature paella, awarded in 2022 as Best Paella in La Paz and People's Choice Award at Fête Du Vin; and 1st place award in 2015 by the National Chamber of Restaurants and Spiced Food Industry.

Food was delicious. All of the different elements were cooked perfectly. I would recommend better portioning. One diner had mostly pork, no shellfish. It would have been nice to have a taste of everything. We shared around so that all was good. I will definitely bring visitors to enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant and town.

We make it a point to come to El Minero for paella every time we come to vacation in Los Barriles. It’s well worth the near one hour drive into the beautiful mountains for the excellent food and quiet, cool ambiance El Minero offers.

We brought out-of-country house guests for the always extraordinary Sunday afternoon paella and sangria. We had a great time, enjoying the food, the family atmosphere, posing for photos from atop the cast metal mula. The staff are most attentive, the service is swift and the bill is reasonable!

The paella was already done when we arrived at 1:30pm, so it was disappointing to not be able to watch him cooking it. The paella tasted wonderful!

We suffer a bit racism for part of the place team even the lady tell us the expression sorry they forgot to serve yours drinks.. The place is really good and the food as well but the treatment was racism because we are locals.

Previously enjoyed wonderful, relaxing afternoons here for excellent paella on several occasions. No más. Was informed on my arrival today that they converted to a new program. Can only describe it as ‘bad county fair service.’ A single menu was posted at a table where you purchased tickets for your food, drinks, etc., then wandered around to collect your purchases. The paella was slopped into a carry out clamshell with a child sized plastic fork. Inconsistent from serving to serving within our group of 5 - I basically got rice and one shrimp, lukewarm and watery. And a person collecting money to use the washroom! They wrecked a good thing - won’t be going back.

Always a wonderful experience: the location in a mountain village, the spacious patio, la música, the tasty paella with arugula salad and rice pilaf, Sueño de Joaquin postre, delicious sangria, happy families, friendly and efficient servers—even lots of activities for toddlers and children in a fully enclosed space so the parents don’t have to keep the kids occupied at the table. What’s NOT to like?
