Our elegant and comfortable dining space is adorned with blue and white azulejo tiles, a perfect setting for business meetings, intimate dinners and after work drinks. The hopes were high with regards to the food at this restaurant. Great service and staff very attentive however the food didn’t meet our expectations, small dishes and the quality of food not great as expected on a value for money standard.

Great food, great service and nice location. Try the Polenta it was really nice as was the Octopus salad, Gambas and the Gilled Pork Skewers. Washed down with Superbock and Madeira and Pastel de Nata. We will definitely come back. Well done Bar Douro!

We had the summer feast menu which was excellent- really lovely mix of dishes and at a very good price. Lovely staff who didn’t rush us so we stayed for another glass of wine after we finished dinner. Such a perfect location too.

Being Portuguese, I am somewhat particular about Portuguese restaurants. Food was delicious. The variety of flavors was amazing. Strongly recommend.

Salt cod hash was good but I was under the impression it was made with ready made crips? (Which is very Portuguese style but not what I was expecting at a restaurant). Duck rice, and the olive oil to go with the bread was a bit of a let down as well. Service and ambience was good
