Bar Dolly, a new wine and cocktail destination from the Sesame Collective Restaurant Group, serves as a companion bar to next door sister southern Italian restaurant Dolly Olive. Bar Dolly offers an
extensive collection of Mediterranean wines, and regional dishes. The spritz menu includes Italian classics like Aperol spritzes and Bicicletas and the house Negroni is an instant classic, poured tableside. Bar Dolly shares a kitchen with Dolly Olive, which centers around Southern Mediterranean ingredients and flavors, with an emphasis on an in house bakery program, fresh made pastas and other dishes that are treated simply and presented elegantly. Chef Casey Brigan and Sesame Collective Culinary Director Natalie Gullish have developed a menu of featured Dolly Olive favorites, as well as a few more snack-forward options like salami and cheese boards.

Great food and service. Was relatively quiet on a Monday night. September sparklers is a fun event and well worth it.

Best meal we had in Portland, and that’s saying something given how tremendous this city’s food is!! Unbeatable pasta dishes

We love Dolly Olive. Bar Dolly was not as endearing. We sat at the bar, and were served by four different servers. This made it difficult for the staff to provide the kind of dining experience that one would expect at a place like this. There was no sense that any one person was paying attention to the flow of our meal and making sure we had what we needed at any given time. This resulted in a number of mistakes on their part. We want to love this place, but we left pretty disappointed. I expect they’ll work the kinks out. Fingers crossed.

Great food and drinks. Friendly staff, but service was slow. It appears someone didn’t show up on time for their shift. Service improved once a 3rd person arrived. Otherwise, great experience and a short walk to Profidence Park.

THE COCKTAILS! My goodness - delicious and in chilled glasses *chef's kiss*. Food was really tasty and the olive oil cake was unreal.

Our reservation was for the counter but we were seated in the back booth, that’s probably why the ambiance was not very exciting. We liked 3/4 of the items ordered, the pasta was so spicy we couldn’t eat it. The serving sizes seemed really small for something meant as family style. Drinks and wine suggestions were spot on! For the spend, not sure we’d go back - it was enjoyable but not spectacular.

We were a party of five and we enjoyed our night out here. The food was delicious. I had the eggplant parmigiana and it had a great grilled or smoky taste to it. Also had a side of meatballs and it was tasty with a nice bit of kick (spicy) to it which I really liked. One of my friends had the chicken confit and he loved it. Service was very flexible and accommodating to us. Would go here again and recommend it to others.
