This was my 5th visit to Barcino, I used to love the place however the food last night was not the same quality as my previous visits. I was taking my dear friend out for her Birthday dinner and I so wanted to treat her with a delicious meal. She had driven all the way from Rockport to join me. I was so embarrassed since I raved about the food at Barcino so expectations were high. The Fritto Misto was not light and airy and full of seafood as the first time I had it—it was heavy, greasy, and there was less seafood maybe 3 shrimp this time and more lemon slices. The Crispy Cauliflower was heavy and a bit greasy as well but it still had great flavor. I tried ordering the Grilled Broccolini to ease our disapointment in the meal since I thought was a sure thing. The Grilled Broccolini was delicious last time but last night it wasn't even nearly as good as the first time I had it. It seemed old and the pesto had little flavor. I'm sad that what was my new favorite restaurant, is one I won't be going back to.

We have never had a bad experience at Bae Cino in Brookline. The manager Anthony,is a great guy . The staff is terrific. The Bolognese is by far the BEST in the Boston area . We have been frequenting Bar Cino for many years . The food is consistently excellent.

Another wonderful night out at Bar Cino. Staff and food are always excellent. Favorites - crispy cauliflower and tagliatelle. Especially enjoyed the positive energy of the restaurant and our server, Miguel.

Food came out way too fast which made us feel rushed all night until it was clear they weren’t waiting to turn the table. We had hardly gotten our drinks when the appetizers arrived and dinner came quickly afterwards with very little time to relax between bites. The pizza wasn’t hot enough and I should have sent it back.
