D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le Bar Chouette est à la hauteur de son nom, qui signifie « cool » en bon français, avec son ambiance survoltée et ses cocktails qui font fureur. Le chef Duncan Ly utilise des saveurs françaises et des ingrédients de saison dans des plats tels que le tartare de steak onglet accompagné de craquelins de tapioca au charbon de bois. Le menu des consommations est tout aussi brillant, proposant des variations sur les boissons classiques, comme un old-fashioned au beurre brun et au romarin.

Service was great, been to Bar Chouette a few times now and servers are always attentive. Food just feels lackluster, a hit or miss for me personally. I enjoyed their snacks, I had the milk bun and beef tartar which I enjoyed. The larger plates were alright.

Server (long blonde hair, fair skin & nose ring sorry forgot the name) was friendly & knowledgeable about the dishes. Not too loud so we can have a conversation. Tasty food. On the Pricey side although . Worth a visit

First time dining at Bar Chouette, we had heard a particularly great review from CBCs Elizabeth Carson so thought we would check it out. She was bang on. Duncan Ly has nailed again, high quality food, stunning dishes punched with flavour, nice variety of plate sizes, great service and we thought it was amazing value. Also a nice touch meeting the man himself 🍷. We will definitely be back sooner rather later👍🏻

The food is absolutely outstanding, every dish we ordered was incredible and unique in a way I’d never experienced before. In my mind, this place easily stands as one of the best restaurants in Calgary. (Such as Major Tom, Shokunin, Ten Foot Henry, Bridgette Bar

We were 2 and had several share dishes, we asked the waiter or barmaid to change the dishes from the appetizers courses to main dishes, seems like he hesitated to change the plate and even he didn't want to remove the old plates and just pushed the new plate on the table. I have to remove the old plate and gave to him. The bill wasn't cheap but the services was very poor.

Overall great experience. I’d give it an 8/10 rating and would suggest people who haven’t tried it and like to go out to dinner regularly to try it.
