Please join us at Bar Cecil for a delightful evening. We welcome parties of 5 or fewer guests (limited space for parties of 5). Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate larger parties.

We book tables for 2 hours. Last dinner orders are taken at 9 pm and we close the bar at 10 pm. We've gone cashless and happily accept credit and debit cards.

Due to our small size, tables with separate reservations can not be combined. Please reserve online; if OpenTable is not showing availability, we're fully booked or it is more than 14 days out. We accept reservations up to 30 days out. Our bar is always walk-in and we open at 5 pm (the bar list is usually full around 4:30 pm).

The Escargot and the Steak Frites did not disappoint. They were incredible.

The restaurant had a cool vibe. The food and wait staff were good. However, we were seated in the covered outdoor area, right near the arched door entrance. It was quite a cool evening in December. There were heaters installed and running around the patio seating area, but the entryway door was constantly being opened by staff in order to seat guests. That in itself was not the main issue, but the fact that at least 50% of the time the door was not closed after the host and guests came through was a problem. The heaters were not sufficient enough to keep our table comfortable. We had to repeatedly ask that the door be closed, even after we told staff that we were cold. We ended up sitting and eating with our coats on, and this made our entire dining experience less than ideal.

As always, a delight. We enjoyed the food and very gracious service including our first adventure with corkage which was a big success. We can’t wait to return

Absolutely loved our dinner here. Service was best I've had in a long time anywhere. Highly recommend! Great for date night or just a good meal out. Will be back next time in town.

We were excited to try Bar Cecil but ultimately thought it was a mediocre experience. We were not impressed with the entree selection. The steak tartare was very good but the Lays potato chips accompanying the tartare were a real disappointment. The sole was good but not great. The ratatouille was a mediocre sop to the vegetarians. The pork chop was excellent and easily the best entree on the menu. Four of us ate in a cramped booth in the noisy bar area. The covered patio area looked prettier, quieter and more spacious. For the price, there are better restaurants in Palm Springs.

Another trip to bar Cecil- this time had the bread (do not miss!) the mussels to share - delicious- and the fish (with carmelized sweet potato and whipped celeriac). Honestly - we drive 25-30 minutes from La Quinta every time and it is ALWAYS worth the trip. Set your alarm and book in advance so you can get in. It’s that good.

Our server was fantastic, food was very good and the place is adorable. It's the first restaurant in Palm Springs this trip where someone actually read the special event. Staff is well trained, thoughtful and made the dinner a wonderful event. Thank you

I've been coming here since they opened in 2020 and have consistently had great experiences and amazing food. Unfortunately this visit did not live up to the expectations we have come to expect from Bar Cecil. The food quality was great, but unfortunately the mains all came out at different times and we received our last entree nearly 20 minutes after the first two arrived. This was a bit disappointing as we the four of us ate staggered rather than all together. There was also several things we ordered that were forgotten. The server knew this was not up to par without us saying anything and did comp several items on the bill, which I greatly appreciated. Overall we still love Bar Cecil and are chalking this up to an off night. We will be back!
