My husband and I were greeted warmly when we arrived slightly ahead of our scheduled reservation. We enjoyed a drink at our table before our two friends joined us. The service by Lily (and other staff) were on point. We all had a nice time catching up over a delicious dinner. Thank you to the staff at Banyan’s!

We ordered the oxtail- was delicious and came with lots of oxtail. The baklava cream cheese dessert was fabulous. Good prices, great food, great drinks- we ordered margarita n Moscow mule

Great food and atmosphere! We loved the Maui Nui venison tataki and lamb lollipops. Also, great to see a Pimm’s cup on the drink menu. The space is beautifully redone. There was live music, which originally worried us because it can be too loud, but the music was the perfect volume to enjoy and still have conversation.

Our go to for brunch and dinner. Their brunch is absolutely amazing, we ordered one of each main item and couldn’t decide what we loved the most. Everything was so delicious, I’m still craving the Gouda grits and kalua pork hash! For dinner we always over order apps and salads since you can’t go wrong with their cheese board, the various dips (go straight for the dip trio you won’t be disappointed!) ceviche, and bravas. Beet salad and Caesar are amazing, followed by the oxtail and lamb. Don’t pass on the smores either, perfect ending to a great meal.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and great service. We ordered lots off the menu but I really enjoyed the vegetables, Caesar salad , and potatoes! We ordered three dips that were all delicious—and served in a large platter with lots to share and enjoy. We ordered the Somets for dessert and the homemade marshmallows were toasted by us at the table! Yum yum yum

Truly the food was to die for. Each dish was a 5/5 star in our book. My husband has lived in Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., Texas, and Washington. A connoisseur of foods if you will. We enjoy eating out everywhere, but this place by far was the best restaurant in Kailua. Please go, if you’re second-guessing yourself, don’t.

The food and cocktail that I had were good, however there was one crucial issue. It was not what I wanted. I made a reservation for my birthday, as looking at the menu online I saw that they had some interesting and appealing dishes. However, when i made the reservation for 5PM, I did not realize, at the time, that they would not be serving full dinner plates. Instead it was appetizers and other small bite plates for sharing or nibbling. Had I known this I would have rescheduled my evening, but otherwise I was left hungry, and ordering something that was at a higher price, for less food than I would have liked. That being said, the Kalua Pork sliders are delicious, but the disappointment of not being able to order from the dinner menu overshadowed that. I feel bad rating the service low, as it did not seem that the restaurant was operating in excess of staff, but even still. When I tried to get a seat and confirm my reservation I found myself waiting at the podium at the entrance until one of the bartenders/waitresses came over. The Bartenders themselves were very skilled and polite, however there only seemed to be a single bartender who was making drinks and tending to customers at the bar at a time. I felt like I was waiting for my cheque for some time, and this wasn't a location to yell out or call out to the bartender.

Aloha Gavin, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the food and cocktails, but sorry to learn that you were disappointed due to the dining hours. We make a strong effort to clearly post our hours on all platforms, but we understand that it can be missed. In response to this, we've updated our policy, and starting this week, we're offering our full dinner menu at 4pm, along with Happy Hour options from 4 to 6pm. We also regret to hear that you felt our staffing wasn't sufficient for your dinning experience. Typically, we schedule a host, two bartenders, and a server for the early hours until the lounge opens at 6pm.
