Banquet Chinese is a restaurant and venue unlike any other found in Colchester or North Essex today. This is Chinese food the way it is meant to be experienced! Our mouth-watering dishes are cooked to perfection by award-winning chefs using only the freshest and finest ingredients.

We have two private dining rooms available for your own exclusive parties, weddings and corporate conferences. The two rooms have their own entrance and can hold 30 and 50 people respectively, but for larger gatherings, the two rooms can be combined. Menus can be tailored to individual requirements ranging from Dim Sum to the finest Chinese banquet. Our private dining rooms have access to our beautiful Chinese style garden with lovely water features. As always, superb dim sum. Tried some new to us, one not to our taste, but that is part of the fun. We are always welcomed warmly, even thought with one on crutches and one in a wheelchair, so we are a bit of a fuss.

Service was excellent as usual. Table was reasonable size for four. Cantonese Roast Duck/ Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs were excellent as usual - as good as in Hong Kong. Roast Pork Fried Rice / Mixed Seafood Ho Fun/ Stirred Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts/ Deep Fried Fish in Sweet Corn Sauce/ Monks Vegetables & Bean Curd were also very good.

Excellent dim sum lunch today for Father’s Day. Food was delicious and came out quickly despite a full restaurant.
