Banquet Chinese is a restaurant and venue unlike any other found in Colchester or North Essex today. This is Chinese food the way it is meant to be experienced! Our mouth-watering dishes are cooked to perfection by award-winning chefs using only the freshest and finest ingredients.

The interior has been carefully chosen and imported from China to create a genuine and sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy your lunch or evening meal, perhaps together with a bottle of wine from the well rounded wine list supplied by Liberty Wines.

We have two private dining rooms available for your own exclusive parties, weddings and corporate conferences. The two rooms have their own entrance and can hold 30 and 50 people respectively, but for larger gatherings, the two rooms can be combined. Menus can be tailored to individual requirements ranging from Dim Sum to the finest Chinese banquet. Our private dining rooms have access to our beautiful Chinese style garden with lovely water features. Our first visit staff were very helpful changed our table without us asking for me. Food was excellent will definitely go back

Excellent as always. Banquet never disappoints, we have been here many times. I also love that it is wheelchair accessible!

Food great, staff friendly and efficient when they were able to provide service, however the service did slow down considerably as the restaurant reached peak capacity for the evening. Everything else was great and would return.

This was our first visit, for my son’s 21st Birthday.. The food was outstanding, the staff were wonderful and would highly recommend.. We can’t wait to come back.. Thank you x

We have been here a few times before and the good had been good, but today’s visit was terrible, the chicken curry had no taste to it at all, overall food was very bland and tasteless. I do think it is very overpriced aswell. When we paid we explained that was wasn’t that happy with food and we got no response really . Not interested!!! We won’t be going back!!
