Named for the iconic championship team banners raised into the rafters throughout history, Banners Kitchen & Tap is located in the thick of Boston sports, on the former site of the Boston Garden, adjacent to the TD Garden and North Station at The Hub on Causeway.

There was a buy out in the main dining area for an event (that we were also attending at TD Garden), so we were put in the back room, which was fine, they told me earlier in the day so we were aware. The only real issue was all their focus was on the event, a couple of drinks we requested were not available to regular patrons b/c the event had an open bar and they reserved the more popular beverages for them. The food was pretty good.

Our waitress was AMAZING! Very attentive, great personality, very personable!!! All meals were delicious. Our daughter works for the Boston Bruins and suggested we eat at Banners before the game. We will definitely be back soon!

Having a $100 Reservation Fee, that doesn't get applied to your bill is a blatant, overly greedy money grab! Even though it's nice being that close to the venue, I'll find another place next time.

I booked a table for a group to watch the Celtics season opener. We expected to sit in the large room shown in photos, the one with a giant tv screen with a lot of smaller ones, big bar, and many tables. We were instead seated in a tiny back room that did have some TVs but very quiet sound. It felt like being in a family style restaurant like Applebees. Not the vibe at all that we wanted, and when we asked to move to the big room we were told those were for “paid reservations through the Open Table app.” I would have gladly paid if I had been given the option. The drinks were also warm and the menu was limited in this weird back room they seated us in. Huge disappointment on what should have been a great night, I’m not sure if Open Table or Banners is to blame but it was a total dud.
