Bank+Vine is serving up a fresh and seasonal menu from a passionate culinary team, focusing on a farm to table concept and showcasing produce at the peak of its season.

Located in one of downtown Wilkes-Barre’s historic buildings, Bank+Vine provides both an indoor and outdoor casual dining experience with plates meant to be shared around the table. Take a trip back to 1912 and visit the old South Side Bank while dining in 'The Lobby' with it's 30 foot vaulted ceilings and a private dining room overlooking the entire restaurant, perfect for gatherings of 10 people with a private restroom.

    Interested in booking the best seat in the house? 'The Annex' can accommodate up to 10 people with views overlooking the restaurant floor. Equipped with it's own restroom, this is the perfect space to stay away from the crowds. 'The Reserve', can be used for parties up to 25 with the current restrictions in place. This room also includes a projector and screen which are ideal for business meetings or special events like a wedding or rehearsal dinner.

    The only complaint is the well done filet was not moist. Otherwise, the duck confit was delicious, as were the drinks. Service was excellent!

    Wow the food was really awful! My partner had the octopus, which was way overcooked and too much citrus (lemon/line?) The beef tartare was a mushy mess, with lousy mayonnaise. The duck was indelibly overcooked, and salted like we were going on a wagon train out west. The seafood fry is grossly over breaded, and, perhaps not surprising for such an amateur restaurant in NE PA, really lousy.     My fiance and I have been here maybe for the 5th time now and as he's a chef himself, he's never once complained, the food is really that great! We love the specials, date night, the seafood boils and the services always amazing. Absolutely will be back! (The building itself has a really neat history so everything's nice to look at also) Lastly, any and all drinks are top notch!

    The maitre d' (owner?) was very helpful with the wine and even offered to open a bottle of Trois Neveux Sauvignon Blanc that was reserved for a wine flight special that night. (Enjoyed it immensely.) And Christine, our waitress, was very personable and helpful with the food. Our summer salad was great with its oranges, almond slices, red onion bits and feta. The cacio e pepe and salmon entrees were also very good. Can't wait to return!

    Very good meal, though the pasta portions were not as large as expected. All of us had the salad, 2 pasta dinners and one filet. Deserts were good, tiramisu and gelato.

    My fiance and I (an executive chef and a bartender) have been coming here for a little over 3 years and this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. First, the hostess “couldn’t find” our reservation when I could see the iPad in her hand with my name near the top of the list and she acted like she couldn’t read. We wait for 15 minutes before anyone even comes over after we get a table. We ordered a wine flight to share and a cocktail each along with our food. We had to point to what we wanted on the menu because our server had no idea what we were ordering when we said it. We get a glass of wine from our flight and nothing else. Then everyone else around us gets bread and we received a single deviled egg. Our appetizers arrived before we received our cocktails. The entire time our cocktails were supposed to be made the bartender stood there and labeled quart containers instead, while a man whom I assume to be the manager filled olives with bleu cheese. The man finally sees the looks on our faces and comes over and asks how everything is, I said we didn’t get our drinks and before I could get anything else out of my mouth he ran away and sent our server over with our drinks that miraculously appeared after 25 minutes. Then we got our second glass of wine in the flight. The aranchini were really good, however the picked crab crudo was terrible along with us not getting any bread, which I could not express because the manager ran away. Our entrees come out and I had a chicken breast with 4 single potato squares which was $34. My fiance had the strip steak which was $45ish and was approximately 5 pieces of steak and a potato. We sat there for another 15 minutes before we got a box and then we had to ask for our final glass of wine in the flight along with the check. This was our 10 year anniversary dinner and honestly I couldn’t wait to get out of there. This was the most expensive meal we’ve ever had there and by far the worst. We will not be back.

    Very good food and service. Pleasant atmosphere. Menu is exotic but excellent. A sure return visit is worth the trip.

    Our Arancini was quite salty, The table behind us was quite loud that I couldn't hear my husband speak. We waited 10 minutes for our cocktails which was a glass of wine and vodka and grapefruit...And wefelt that you were understaffed. We never leave a bad review. However, last night was so disappointing We felt that you needed to know. It was not our first time there, more like our 30th.
