    Only criticism was service took 20mins to delete er the menus and take drinks order, apart from that, venue beautiful and food really good. In their defence, it was a very busy evening.

    CLOSED DOWN It is heartbreaking that the University stikes again. It is sucking the life out of Oxford like a black hole. That lovely Seaman’s Mission chapel and Oxfords best eatery gone! The food, the ambience, the lovely staff all gone. We dined there yesterday their last day of trading. We said our farewells and left with a heavy heart. With the exception of Paynes the Jewellers on the High Street we have no reason to visit Oxford again. It is a smelly, dirty stinking hole. Most eateries in this city are so poor, unhygienic and a health risk, avoid.

    Have been going to this place twice a year, meeting friend for past 27 years, barring the pandemic. Consistently good food and service.

    We celebrated our mum’s birthday here! It was such a lovely experience! The food is AMAZING and the service is good. Definitely the best fish cakes ever!

    It was truly a magnificent night. My mother had a wonderful time evening which was the reason why I booked this restaurant. The food was delicious and the setting and staff amazing. Thank you Bangkok House for the spectacular evening.
