The Pub
Get comfy and hunker down for après-whatever in Banff’s almost-secret hideaway. Enjoy great craft brews and all your pub favourites in a casual venue that’ll make you feel like a local, no matter where you’re from.

The Lodge
Climb on up to our newest casual dining spot with an easy-going approach. Anchor in for Banff’s legit take on Detroit-style deep-dish pizza (if you know, you know), along with pasta and small plates – perfect for sharing with the crew.

Fun place to sip on a variety of beers. Our server, Tilly was great! She had great beer & cider recommendations and was very pleasant.

Service is as less than stellar. Asked for low table on reservation. They put us at a high table. When we asked for outside space they said they would move us when space opened up…never got moved. Server was not attentive at all. We even cleared our own plates after waiting 30 minutes. Lots more negative to add….fries were good.

Very good food. Appetizers were half off which was a bonus. Enjoyed my flight of beer and buffalo chicken sandwich. Kids enjoyed their meals. The pretzels are a must. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the products.

Waitress seemed rushed, not overly attentive to us. Food was decent, ordered a flight of beers but didn’t end up liking any of them. Overall a bit disappointed but not bad.

Went to the restaurant they said to seat yourself even though we had a reservation, and then didn’t mention half the menu wasn’t available

It was a fun experience and our server was fantastic! Happy we chose to go there to watch the Super Bowl game.

I arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and was advised to seat myself at one of the (numerous) empty tables. When my partner arrived 10 minutes later, I still had not been served. A couple of waiters looked at us but didn't approach our table. Another 10 minutes went by without any service! When we were walking out the door, a gentleman stated "I hope you enjoyed your meal" When I stated we waited 20 minutes without service he responded. "Oh. You should have flagged one of us down". Wow! We walked over to the Elk & Oarsman where the service was impeccable even though the pub was extremely busy. The menu was much more extensive (and cheaper) and the food was excellent!

Worked in Banff for years, and been a long time fan of the Brew Pub since they openened more than 10 years ago. Food and beer are typically very good. Hadn't been in a while and this time the food we ordered was virtually inedible. Not sure if they've switched suppliers or just have an inexperienced kitchen staff but neither of our kids could eat more than 1/2 burgers, the 'fresh' pretzels we ordered were harder than the table top, it was as if they spilled the entire canister of seasoning salt on the fries, and my I couldn't chew, or even cut the beef on my beef dip as it was so rubbery and fatty. Their falgship beers are good, and the new seasonals were great. Hoping they get their kitchen sorted, but it will be a long while before we go back to attempt a meal again.
