We normally celebrate Mother’s Day at Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville NC - however we thought we would try Ballantyne Hotel since we reside close by. The food selections to go with the meat were all veggies/rice/small potatoes - however no Mac n Cheese or a Soufflé-overkill on salad bar veggies and hot veggies-the deserts were all parfaits. For the price you pay - should receive better portions and better overall options of food!

The experience used to be really great, but the last two times we’ve eaten at a ballroom experience were very subpar. The food for the Easter buffet wasn’t good, the only exceptions were the omelet and crepes stations. I used to look forward to this as a way to have a nice buffet experience with the family. For an incredibly expensive meal, I’d expect a lot more selections, better tasting food, and it to be cooked correctly. This was incredibly disappointing.

Second year we have gone, food and variety not as good, I would say overpriced for what we received, ran out of oysters at 130p, brunch was from 10a to 4p

Food was fine, nothing to write home about. Service was atrocious. Never asked it we wanted anything to drink. They came and automatically filled up our water cups and left the kids cups empty when we first sat down. Had to flag down a waitress to get two kids cups, she only brought out one. My water sat empty for most of the meal. This would have been fine but a 24% gratuity was built in. 70 dollars tip for the worst service I have ever received. They served like they knew their tip was already guaranteed. Will definitely not be returning. Food didn’t make up for experience.
